This duo is is for some bizarre reason not available in the USA? I feel very odd showing you something that we Canadians can get but Americans can not. It does not happen very often! And even better than that - the set only costs 29.00!!!!!
The set consists of a gold polish very similar to 207 Golden Era and a crackle type top coat in a very close colour to Amazonia. This however is not your typical shatter polish. To start with, you put on WET polish, not dry. It takes FOREVER to crack (I am talking five minutes minimum) and it kind of balloons and bubbles as it cracks. So it looks like a textured leather on top of the base coat.
I could not get a good picture of the crackle but thankfully the lovely its_a_keeper is letting me show off her much nicer picture of the crackle!
And even though it says not to put it on dry nail polish, I had to check it out to see what would happen.
And I am totally digging the look of it over a bright yellow (once more on dry polish)
Now when I said the gold colour in this duo was similar to the new 207 Golden Light, I wasnt kidding. Here is the colour from the duo on the left and 207 on the right.
As you can see, Golden Light is much more opaque than the colour in the duo. It also has some multi coloured shimmer where as the duo polish is a strictly gold shimmer.
And here, once again, the duo colour is on the left and Amazonia is on the right. Amazonia is a lighter green and is more yellow toned. Obviously as one is a creme and one is a crackle these do not come CLOSE to comparing in swatches, but I wanted to give you an idea of the difference to better show you the colour of the crackle top coat.
