Bourjois Blush Exclusif - Swatches

Can I just stop here to rave about how much I love this product and to ask why on earth its taken me so long to try it?!!

It kind of darkens as you apply it into a gorgeous pink. Its a soft creme that is just a gorgeous texture and blends and applies so easily and lasts all day.

Such a gorgeous, natural matte pink glow. I freaking love this. At $20 its not cheap, but its certainly not Dior or Chanel pricing.

Lise Watier Feline Quad - Swatched

I don't normally sing the praises of Lise Watier makeup, but this is what I am doing today.

Its nice that it comes with look cards though I am pretty sure I have never ever used one ever.

This is a gorgeous neutral palette that leans slightly to the warmer side. It is incredibly soft (almost too soft if you want me to be completely honest) and has some of the best pigmentation I have found in any shadow ever. I am talking about an INGLOT level kind of pigmentation.

One swatch with finger on dry skin with no primer!

Glamglow At Costco!

Look what Costco is selling! The lovely Megan spotted these masks at Costco and was nice enough to let me share the photo with you all! What a good price! On the website they have them all! They are not yet showing up on the Canadian website as of yet, but lets cross our fingers! If not, I may need to order this through the usa! My glamglow (the SUPERMUD, the white one) NEVER goes on sale!

MUA On THIS Side Of The Pond

Not in this COUNTRY, but check out what I saw at CVS the other day. I have been very fortunate to be travelling a lot lately, and I was just back in the United States and look what I saw?!!

Shoppers Fabulous Beauty Bonus - How Fabulous Is It Really?

For this week at Shoppers Drug Mart if you spend $75 in beauty you get this beauty bag. I have to say, I have never been so unhappy with a beauty gift. If this was a gift with purchase of $30 or even MAYBE $50 I would have been disappointed. At SEVENTY FIVE FREAKING DOLLARS?!! I'm down right angry. Ok, I am really not angry. Just mad I made a trip to the store in order to get this crap. And its pretty much whats in here.

It's a very big bag that is pink. If it wasn't pink I would probably think the bag was awesome. The truth is the bag itself is kind of awesome other than being pink. Yes, pink is a dirty four letter word on this blog. HATE PINK! haha.

Look at all the foil packets!

And some perfume viles, along with one of those paper folded over samples that comes in magazines.

The only deluxe samples and stuff that belongs in a gwp in my opinion (especially one with a $75 requirement) are these:

A drugstore foundation sample in a shade that will work for about 10% of you (seriously, no one I work with is a light-medium), a bioderma sample that would be awesome if it could be sealed or closed or even stand up to allow you to use it more than once, but this is essentially a foil sample of an awesome product. A gosh liner is great! I will add it to the other 203 black liners I have (ok, ok, this is actually kind of a great thing to have in the bag, just boring and not needed by most beauty addicts).

All in all, its NOT what I expect from a $75 beauty boutique gift with purchase. That being said, if this review makes you want to run out and get it, the gift is available until Friday or stock runs out, whichever comes first.

Prabal Gurung For MAC Preview

WWD.com has released pictures of the upcoming MAC Prabal Gurung collection launching this December. What do you think?

Stealing Photos.

EDIT - THERE SEEMS TO BE MUCH DEBATE AND SOME OFFENSE TAKEN BY MY CHOICE TO PUBLISH A DISCUSSION HAD ON FACEBOOK WITHOUT BLOCKING OUT THE AUTHORS NAME. WHILE I RESPECT EVERYONES OPINION, AND WHILE I NORMALLY DO BLOCK PEOPLES NAME FOR PRIVACY REASONS, I CHOSE NOT TO FOR ONE VERY GOOD REASON HERE.

I GO BY SHAYNA AND BY POLISH JINX HERE. I DONT PUBLICLY POST WITH MY FULL LEGAL NAME AND I DONT USE MY PERSONAL FACEBOOK PAGE TO PROMOTE MY  BLOG. IN FACT, MOST PEOPLE ON MY PERSONAL FACEBOOK PAGE DONT EVEN KNOW I HAVE A BLOG.

IN THIS INSTANCE, THE BLOGGER USED HER NAME ON HER BLOG, AND USED HER FACEBOOK PAGE TO PROMOTE HER BLOG. THUS SHE IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BLOG AND HER PHOTO AND NAME ARE FOUND ON HER BLOG. HAD SHE USED AN ALIAS OR KEPT HER IDENTITY A SECRET I WOULD HAVE MOST CERTAINLY HIDDEN HER REAL NAME. BUT THIS WAS HER BLOGS FACEBOOK PAGE AS MUCH AS HER OWN.

So the blog "moms beauty time blogspot ca" dont want to link to it, but you can find the blog if you so choose, stole a bunch of my blogposts. Now I am not bringing this up to shame the blog, because the blogger had a tantrum and removed her entire blog. But this was an open discussion in two different facebook groups and I want to bring it here.

My pictures:

the blogpost in question:

Now lets pretend that she gave me credit for my photos. She also stole my words. She deleted a phrase here or there (such as my glow in the dark skin she changed to pale) but otherwise, she even tole my words. No link regardless of the size undoes that.

Now I have posted other bloggers photos before. When I do so, I post one photo and then a link saying to see this and all the other photos, go here. Some people argue that is not ok. Some say it is fine. If its an english blogger I send a message or email first asking. I have never been told no before. And the few times I dont ask first, I make darn sure that the photo I use is one that will not show everything so that my reader WILL want to follow the blogpost. There is no point in posting all the photos and then linking to the blog. There is no reason for the reader to want to go to that first blog.

Instagram photos I use and I always credit. But again, these are subjects that cause a lot of debate even within bloggers. Non bloggers sometimes don't even understand why we care so much.

But worse than this blogger stealing my PERSONAL photos for two blogposts was that she stole my writing for 4 or 5 blogposts. Promo pics that she copied my text on also.

Now the answer I usually get is to watermark my images. I hate watermarks. They annoy me (especially when big and obvious) and I simply don't like the aesthetic. I have also seen many watermarked images stolen and reposted, and quite often seen watermarks removed or cropped out. So what is your response? Do you wait until your photos are stolen, and then fight to get them taken down, do you not worry about a stolen or plagiarized blogpost?  Do you watermark them and hope for the best?

And WHAT are a bloggers resources when this happens?

For me, at least this time, it ended after 2 hours of ignoring my facebook posts with this discussion:

And then poof her entire blog went goodbye.
