Glossybox February Unboxings (Yes, Plural)

Let me start this by saying if my mom and I both get beauty boxes, she ALWAYS gets the better one. ALWAYS. Ok, almost always. As in this is the first time that I might have gotten a better box. Well, I certainly got a box of higher value. The better part is in the eye of the beholder.

I would like the boxes more if they were not pink, but February is valentines day after all.......

Other than the unwash, everything is full sized. The value of my box is $71 and the value of my moms was $54. Overall, I am very pleased with this box and look forward to trying most of the products.

Glossybox January Unboxing!

I know this is really late, but it came late and I have been desperately trying to catch up. The Truffle Serum I have not yet tried but my mom loves and has a value of $12.50 (the full sized is $80!). The brush i $23.50 and the liner $18, both of which are full price. The brush alone is the value of the box. I have to say, Vichy may be a niche brand in the USA, but here in Canada its in every drugstore you will find. It is fully and utterly boring and disappointing in my world and the $3 value of the sample I dont even glance twice at. Then there is the toner. I have been using it since I got it and I think it probably does NOTHING at all for my skin. But it feels so nice and soothing when I apply it that I would contemplate repurchasing (or stealing my moms when I am done with mine). A $13 product I am happy to have.

Overall, I am happy with this box. The $70 value is great, and I certainly got my moneys worth out of it!

Glossybox December Unboxing

So my December box didn't come until the end of January. It actually came AFTER my January box.

The $40 hellofresh welcome code was pretty useless since my address is not valid for hellofresh. I did contact glossybox and they are sending me a replacement item.

The leave in conditioner has silicone making it not useful for me, but it is a full sized with a $16.99 value. I am most excited to try the Nuxe moisture mask and its a full sized $32 item making it worth more than the box itself. The nail polish is a mini which retails for $10 and the hand scrub from Rituals is also full sized and $17 retail. The lipstick is a bright shade I am unlikely to wear and I would be unlikely to spend the $19.99 it costs on it. That being said I like $59 worth of stuff in the box and have $37 worth of stuff I would not use. No way to complain about the value in the box. I think its on the boring side, but well worth its price!!

Glossybox February 2015 Box - Complete Preview!

So when I first heard what was in this box my first reaction was to CANCEL and start up again in the next month. But the more I look at it, the more I want to try the foaming shower wash and the conditioner. I have no urge to get my bottle of Heartleigh that is my Julep box this month, I certainly don't need a backup of a polish I didn't want in the first place. Overall though, I think I will be happy enough for the two products I am excited about to make up the value of the box and the overall box value is great!!

So yeah, this is what you can expect to see in the upcoming days. I promise I will still review all the Chanel and MAC and such that I bought in Toronto, but I am going to hold off until I can finish and get caught up with all these new and limited edition sets so you can see them in time to make up your mind!

July Glossybox Unboxing

So this is a very late review. That is my fault, NOT Glossybox. This arrived on time about 3 weeks ago but I had no chance to drive across the border to pick it up until now. So its a quite late review, and the August box should be shipping this week!

Now this box was the first Glossybox I have gotten I could have done without. The Glamglow while not needed at all now that I got so many in Los Angeles did however make the box worthwhile and prevent me from being pissed off about it.

This serum does piss me off though. There were three different versions. We took a quiz when we signed up. I have my preferences listed and my skin concerns etc. So why the hell did they send me the anti-aging one (my mom APPROPRIATELY got this and loves it. So she has mine now) when there were 2 others that would have FIT MY FREAKING PREFERENCES?

Body Cream. What can I say. Its a cream you rub on your body to moisturize you. It is like every other cream out there. Notice I don't get excited by moisturizers. It doesnt smell disgusting, so its got that.

This brand I love. The product smells slightly like vinegar. If it works as well as the other Philip B products I have used then I could happily overlook the smell. But, it has silicones in it so I wont even try it. This, along with the moisturizer and the serum were given to my mom.

Glamglow. This is great. Its a $19 value but in a squeeze tube instead of the pot this size normally came in making it much more user friendly. This stops me from bitching about the fact that I spent $21 on this box.

A lip balm. A more high end brand, this is sold at Nordstroms. I can honestly say I would never have picked it up at $12 for squeeze tube of lip balm. In a sample box however it is a good sample and I will try it out.

Overall, the value in the box was good if you like the products, but I have no use for two and have 3,303,203 different moisturizers already. I must say I am getting tired of them putting one in every freaking box. Hopefully next months box will excite me more.
