Nails INC - New Leather Finishes, Concrete, Denim, Feathers, Swarovski And MORE!

So here we go. Spring 2013 brings a TON of new Nails Inc products. And a LOT of these are AMAZING!!!!!!!!

First up is the Leather Look polishes.

These Leather Effect polishes come in Shoreditch Lane (mulberry), Soho Mews (tan) and Noho (black).

Also in the leather effect polishes are these collections that include leather polishes and crystal skulls. And there are also collections that come with swarovski bows. Other new additions to the line of Bling It On Kits including Rebel, which contains a Leather Effect varnish in Shoreditch Lane as well as a selection of studs and Swarovski crystals and Romance, which  focuses on bow and crystal embellishment and contains a mini of Porchester Square and Electric Avenue. There's also going be a Neon kit that'll contain a blue and pink neon shades of glitter and a mini Floral Street varnish and a Kensington Caviar top coat.

Feather Effect polishes are also new and SOOOOO cool!!! They come in four colours, Edinburgh (pale blue and peach), Brighton (teal and yellow), Cornwall (blue and white) and York (peach and white) and yes. I need ALL of these!!

There is also a new Denim and Stars collection that has new denim finish polishes. There will also be a kit that includes a Denim polish and star embellishments. 

The other thing I am really really looking forward too is the Concrete collection of four shades that dry to a matte, "concrete" finish. The four shades are Marble Arch (red), Stonehenge (blue), London Wall (nude) and Monument (lime).  The finish is supposed to be really interesting different to the standard matte polishes wer have come to get used to and I am soooooooo excited to see these!!

Butter London Announces Sweetie Shop Collection For Spring 2013

January sees the launch of the Sweetie Shop range from nail polish specialist butter LONDON. The six-piece collection features soft pastel shades: Cuppa (creamy khaki), Fruit Machine (candy pink), Molly Coddles (peppy violet),  Kerfuffle (sherbet), Jasper (luxe lemon) and Fiver (icy mint).

China Glaze Angel Wings VS China Glaze Ultimate Holiday!

I said when I swatched Angel Wings for the first time that it reminded me of the Ulta Exclusive Ultimate Holiday from last year. Well, I went and grabbed Ultimate Holiday in order to compare and let me just say there IS a reason that I thought they were similar. They are almost IDENTICAL!

 

The colours of the both of them are almost identical in the bottle but Ultimate Holiday is much more holograhic. If you squint and try to compare Ultimate Holiday is a tinge more yellow.

Now in THESE photos with a camera set on macro you can see UH is more yellow. In person with just your eyes, they are IDENTICAL. There is NO difference. They both dry to a slightly gritty almost matte glitter. But in real life without the aide of a macro lens, these are the same colour for all intents and purposes.

New Sephora X Polish Collections

So it seems there is an entire new collection that is up for sale on Sephora's website. I couldn't find ANYTHING at all online about these polishes so I decided to create these photos and break down the polishes myself. All of these retail for $12 Canadian or $9.50 American. 

First up is The Sparklers - Whimiscal (3D Silver macro and micro glitter), Unbearable (3D champagne base and macro and micro glitter), Ice Princess (3D champagne micro glitter with pink champagne macro glitter) and Explosive (3D black rainbow micro and macro glitter)

The Toppers - Shifty (illusionary opalescent micro glitter), Chaotic (illusionary graffiti black and white confetti), Airhead and Psycho (illusionary soft silver chunky glitter)

The Cosmics - Power Hungry, Coldhearted, Sparkplug and Egotistical

Naild'it Unique Polish In Dandelion

So I must say this polish is the best of any of the ones I have tried from this brand. Dandelion is a polish with a clear suspension base, small and large white hex glitter and bar glitter, medium yellow hex glitter and loaded with a super fine white shimmer in it. This polish is AMAZING over black and probably really cute over a bright blue or green!

 

The application on this was really nice actually and this is two thin coats.

Holiday Wish List - REVISED!

So a few weeks back I posted my holiday wishlist. I wish I could say that it stayed stagnate but it has certainly evolved! I have managed to pick up most of this list, and a few items came off the last list. But all in all, I want all 96 of these holiday polishes and I think ALL of them are limited edition (with the possible exception of the Cult Nails set).



Ok, so that being said, of that insane shopping list, this is all I have left to pick up from the list!!

Estee Lauder Swarovski Elements Evening Bag Collection

So this is my big debate. While talking to the wonderful sales associate Myle (I know!! A sales associate that isn't Melanie!!) at the Estee Lauder counter in the Vancouver Holt Renfrew she mentioned to me that there is a new Swarovski clutch that is exclusive to Holt Renfrew. She was really nice about it (we don't have an Estee Lauder counter at our store) and she took a photo of it and sent it to me by text.



It is a taupe coloured clutch completely bedazzled in Swarovski crystals and comes with a crystal mirror and a pretty pink lipstick. The price tag ($75) is very reasonable for the set considering the lipstick on its own retails for $32. I have a purple leather clutch, a teal suede clutch, and two Matt & Nat clutches in purple and red. I do need a neutral and a black clutch. So the question is do I need THIS one? Sigh................

I will let you know if I end up getting it! Until then I would really appreciate your opinions on it!!

Secret Santa 2012 - The First Reveal!

So its that time again, the current (Secret Santa) exchange I organize is in full swing and I got my package yesterday (2 weeks before Chanukah starts!!) . I must say I love EVERYTHING! Every single colour is one I would have picked out myself (one of them I had actually already ordered!!) and they are all perfect colours for me! I am super excited to try everyone. 

So I know I am the one who draws names and sends out matches. But I never pay much attention and its usually 2 am when I start. So I can truly say I never know who has me. I don't ever remember who I gave my survey too and I certainly am not going to go look it up haflway through! But when I saw the package came from Germany, it was an instant giveaway!!!

And this right here is the closest I will ever get to owning an Hermes box or package! LMAO!

And in the packet is some bath salts!! I take baths three to four times a week so it will be well appreciated!!

Oops! Forgot to take a photo of it wrapped. You can OBVIOUSLY figure out which package this one was though! And oh my gosh!! It smells sooooooooooooo good. I seriously can not stop smelling it!

This one I kind of knew what it was by the shape of the package! I was really hoping I was right, I have soooo many Butter Londons on my wishlist right now! And I was right. This one on my wishlist, but sadly, not as high up the list as it should have been had I actually seen it in person! OMG! It is GORGEOUS!!! Its pretty much the silver version of Fishwife!!! 

Next up is a polish I had just gotten. But since I LOVED it when I got it and I can not get it here in Canada, it is the perfect colour to have a backup of! Catrice It's All I Can Blue!

I have one other colour by P2 and it was ALSO from a Secret Santa gift from Germany. This one is an effect top coat I have never seen or heard of before in ANY brand! A Silvery Matte Top Coat? Who ever knew that existed? Not me! But since I LOVE LOVE LOVE matte finishes, this is right up my ally. P2 Get Fancy! 

As we have already well established, I LOVE Catrice colours. This one I had never seen or heard of before but it is a gorgeous grey that is perfect for me! Catrice London's Weather Forecast!

Another P2 effect top coat. This one is called Just Fantastic! and is.... well.... just fantastic! LOL! Sorry, I couldn't help  myself! This is a glittery holographic top coat my mom has already called dibs on for her next manicure!
