Expression Collection For Lise Watier Spring 2015

I was looking at this collection today and have to say I ALMOST picked up the blush trio palette but was able to refrain! I hope to say I can keep that up until the collection is sold out, but it seems unlikely. That being said its really the only thing in this collection that is jumping out at me. Well, that and the multifunction powder brush!

Lise Watier Aurora Single Shadow In Violet

I happened to pick up this shadow at the same time I picked up the holiday palette.

The packaging is the same as the palette, which while very pretty drives me nuts. I wish it matched at least in size and shape the regular shadows.

This shadow is also IMPOSSIBLE to photograph! Its a dark purple with almost a teal duochrome.

It really does look like this:

I personally found that there was no fall out when used lightly, but when I started to build up the colour there was fall out. That being said, with any type of base I am sure you could avoid that.

Lise Watier Palette Aurora Swatched!

I went in to Shoppers Drug Mart recently as I normally do. No intent to buy anything really, just kind of looking. And then I swatched this palette. And oh my. It was a no brainer that this was coming home with me.

This is a gorgeous palette but I have only one complaint. This is the second season I have been blown away with a Lise Watier palette, and the second time in a row I have simply HAD to have it. But like Urban Decay and other brands that drive me crazy, each season the palette is a completely different shape, size and material! GGRRRRRRRRRRRRR I want to scream. I just wish that I could beg and plead with them to make them at least the same size and shape.

As much as this sounds crazy, I really do get bothered by palettes that dont match. It upsets my storage and my makes me literally anxious.

But whats inside was too pretty and amazing to pass on. Once more, I must reiterate; GRRRRRRRRRR!!

I know this is not a palette that one would think I would gravitate towards, but it seems it is. The middle two shades, the burgundy-ish rose gold and the gold are so lovely together. I just love this palette.

The palest shade is a bit of a dud, it swatches horribly, applies a bit better than it swatches thankfully, and is overall usable though not great. The rest are stunning. As is the norm here at Polish Jinx, they are each finger swatched on bare skin.

I actually took photos of me wearing the two middle shades, but my memory card had tantrum and somehow got unformatted and would allow me no access at all to anything else on it. So sadly, you are stuck with just these swatches. I will however at some point get some action shots of these shadows because they are stunning!

Lise Watier Feline Quad - Swatched

I don't normally sing the praises of Lise Watier makeup, but this is what I am doing today.

Its nice that it comes with look cards though I am pretty sure I have never ever used one ever.

This is a gorgeous neutral palette that leans slightly to the warmer side. It is incredibly soft (almost too soft if you want me to be completely honest) and has some of the best pigmentation I have found in any shadow ever. I am talking about an INGLOT level kind of pigmentation.

Shoppers Drug Mart Spring Beauty Bonus

Ok, so one of the best things about Shoppers Drug Mart aside from the amazing rewards system (basically, if you time your purchases right, every $225 gets you $100 back in a gift card (literally!) is the seasonal gift with purchases. I am usually not blown away by them myself (same reason I am not a beauty box addict. I am too picky). But OMG! I knew it was packed, but I am totally impressed with the contents!
