This contour duo comes in the exact same massive packaging as the bronzer. The price is $59 here and $49 in the United States.

This is the lightest shade, 20 Dream Filter. The palette is large (like the full size of the palm of my hand) and has a big mirror that covers the entire inside of the lid. I was torn between getting this one and getting Mirage FIlter 40. This one is soft pink and medium bronze, and the 40 is light gold and LIGHT bronze. I think ideally I would have liked the soft pink from this one and the lighter bronze from 40 though this one is a bit more cool toned which is ultimately what lead me to get this one. Also, the light gold would not have worked for me at all and in this one I can use both shades. But I do want 40 as well and would love to find a way to play around with the light gold and make it work!

Both of these shades are matte and they have such a smooth soft texture with essentially no fall out or dust at all. They are creamy and smooth and a dream to work with. The pigmentation is good without being too pigmented making them easy to work with and allow you build up to the desired look. It blends beautifully and I have nothing at all negative to say about this. Its amazing and luxurious and gorgeous and you need it. PERIOD.

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour in 01

This was a limited edition powder that Chanel came out with in May of this past year (so 10 months ago!!). I instantly knew I had to get this. I mean, I LOVE the original Les Beiges poweders, and this was coming out on May 5th. My birthday. If that isn't a sign from above, I am not sure what would be.

The packaging is just like that of the regular ones (of which I have 010 and 020 in). Slightly larger than the powder blushes from the brand, and with a beige cover.

01 is less bronzing and more of a pinky blush than 02 is. And just like the other two I have, its a very subtle and light colour. If I were to say anything negative about it, its the standard Chanel powder scent that all their makeup has.

Here are each of them swatched separately as well as swirled together though I wear them with all three shades together as as subtle blush.

As you can see on my super pale skin, they are very light. If the shades were a bit larger they would be ideal as a highlighter, blush and bronzer separately on my skin tone, but its near impossible to get a brush in just the shade you want.

Julep Glow Highlighting Powder In Champagne

Today I have the Julep Glow Highlighting Powder in Champagne. Truth is, I think its the ONLY shade it exists in so I guess referring to it as Champagne is slightly redundant.

I put a bottle of polish next to it so you can see the size reference.

This is much lighter than I thought it would be. So much so that I almost wonder if it might be TOO light for many people. I am about a MAC NW10. I wear light one and light two from Nars usually mixed together. And on me its subtle. Its shimmery, but its not glittery as much as its shimmery. Which makes me surprisingly NOT hate it.

Like the bronzer and the blushers this is FINELY milled and so soft it can be very powdery. So a light hand with a dense brush is all you need. Overall, very surprisingly happy with this product!

The Concealer Palettes I Use For Contouring (As Budget As It Gets)

Now in general when I say or call something budget here on my blog, it usually means It Cosmetics, Julep or other brands that are to most people not budget but for me, a LOT cheaper than the Dior, Chanel, NARS and LMDB I normally gravitate towards. Well today by budget I mean under $10. Or even under $5 budget!

I picked both of these up in Aug of 2013, so about a year and a half ago but yet never did a review of them here. The second palette is still sold on Coastal Scents under their logo named the eclipse palette and no longer sells the first of the two. BH Cosmetics no longer sells either version of this. That being said, these are the basic cheap palettes they sell, just without the logos on them. And for the price, they are quite good!

Let me start with I do not think these are the most ideal for doing heavy or even medium CONCEALING. They are very creamy and light, but they really blend out almost too well to conceal much and if you try to build it up, it tends to get a bit cake-ey. BUT.... for contouring, I FREAKING LOVE THESE! Due to an error in shipping I accidentally got two of the bottom palette and that is good since I literally have used up an entire pot of the top right shade as well as the second from the right in the bottom row. I ended up throwing out the palette and going on to the second. I also had used up the entire green one though I only use it when I am out of my go to green concealers as its not the best green one. I much prefer the shiseido green foundation stick.

Now on to the swatches! Each set of swatches is one row starting with the top row, then the middle, then the bottom rows.

Now these palettes can be found easily on ebay for under $5 shipped, but if you would prefer to NOT shop on ebay and NOT deal with paypal, you can get them here for $10 shipped from the United States instead of China like the ones on ebay (tracking can be found when you log in to your account after purchasing). 

EDIT - it seems the first one has become hard to find on Tmart at all, and not so easy to find on ebay either! Maybe thats why Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics sell no version of it anymore!

Three different looks to add depth and definition where you want it:

- Chisel your cheeks: Beginning at the top of your ear, apply the contour following the line directly underneath your cheekbone. Use the highlighter in a half moon shape, starting at the top of your temple and following down the top of the cheekbone. Blend shades to create a faux glow and defined cheek bones.

- Sculpt your nose: Draw a line with the contour side of the stick down both sides of the nose. It's important to blend so it looks natural. To add more dimension or length, highlight down the bridge of the nose.

- Define your jaw: Contour along the jawline on both sides of the face, starting at the edge of the jaw toward the chin. Blend well for a softly defined jawline; add highlight to the chin to balance the sculpted jaw.

The Battle Of The Contour Kits. What Do You Do?

So right now, the battle of the contour kits is going on and its getting brutal. Everyone and their mother has come out with a kit and each one promises easy step by step instructions and fabulous results. The biggest problem though is that the set that is perfect for one person is not going to be for another. Its like trying to choose the best blush out there. Just because a ton of people love it, doesn't mean its the best one for your skin. So hear I sit. Paralyzed in the decision. Which one do I get? I honestly DONT know. I did just get this one as its cream and matte:

But which POWDER one do I get to try? I think the smashbox one will be too dark for me. And there is a too faced one, but since that includes BRONZERS (which are NOT contour powders at all) I have left that off the list all together. I freaking love everything Marc Jacobs has put out so far, so maybe that one? But the Kat Von D and Anastasia ones are also getting rave reviews!! HELP!! I will get one, POSSIBLY two but that is all. So please leave all your comments and feedback here with your recommendations and why. And keep in mind I am glow in the dark white!
