Goodbye HELMER.... RIP!

For many in the polish world, a Helmer is a must. Its not something I have ever purchased nor is it something I was planning on buying. It always felt flimsy to me. I have two ALEX units now and love them. I would however like to replace one of my 5 drawer units with a 9 drawer unit. But for those of you who have and love the HELMERS, this might be information you want. This came in direct response to an email query about when one would be restocked. 

"As it turns out, the HELMER series has been discontinued by IKEA and is no longer being manufactured by our suppliers. IKEA products are not discontinued based on sales of consumer demand, but by product availability. This process allows IKEA to open space to introduce new products to the range.

Once an item or series is discontinued our store locations sell all remaining stock with no additional deliveries. Once such items have sold out they are no longer able to be purchased."

So this is not a post telling you all to run out and buy them. It is however a post telling you IF you want one, run out and buy it before its long gone.
