A Company Makes It Right - A Little Late, But Sincerity Goes A Long Way!


So I got these two packages in the mail. I am not sure if you can tell how big they are from the picture but they stack higher than my waist!!

But what is in them? I KNOW it doesn't look like it, but the pile of paper is LITERALLY four feet wide. INSANITY!!!!


And in these GINORMOUS boxes, look what is in each one:


I laughed out loud when I saw the size of the boxes and what was inside. Talk about INSANE meathod of packaging.



Now let me explain. And make a few statements about Ciate before I move forward. I think everyone knows  how annoyed I was at the company. Not so much for the bad QC of the holiday sets last year, but more so of the customer service (or lack there of). They ignored me in all attempts to get a resolution last year. THIS year, when I saw that they were getting more sets for this year, I decided to try to get a resolution one more time.

And my experience this time was complete 180. I did call and it took a week to get a response, but they are in the process of moving house. So I can forgive that. I got FOUR calls from their customer service. They called until they were able to reach me in person. They apologized (sincerely) for my experience and I really do believe them. It seems that all four people I talked to this month were all people who were not there last year.

I truly believe that the team they have currently is a different team. And they sent me a replacement of the mini bar from last year (all the brushes are good in this set) and the new calendar from THIS year. Now before I go into the swatches, there are two different advent calendars this year. This is the one that does NOT have the full sized polish in it.


Now, I am not going to swatch the mini bar set as its already swatched on my  blog. But the brushes are good! And the brushes in EVERY SINGLE FREAKING POLISH was PERFECT. If you don't want to have the surprise ruined, walk away now. Here are swatches of ALL of them, starting at one, and ending with 24. Each swatch is one coat and the formula is great on all, but ESPECIALLY worth noting, the formulas on main stage, encore and tweed and tails was AMAZING. I do recommend two coats on the majority of them, but most of them you COULD get away with one. So without further chit chat, here is the lot of swatches!

  2. so glad they finally helped you out! it definitely seems like a new team, I think those types of jobs have a high turnover rate probably but they are so important to the success of the company.

  3. Haha the boxes were so big! I got a ciate kit last year but not the calendar one. The colours are GORGEOUS! OMG! I might look into this this year. Congrats! :)

  4. Ahh, so pretty! I'm not that big on polishes, but I might have to get this because they all look wonderful.

    And if you want to talk about strange shipping, I recently received some skincare samples (they were foils, but very generous foils) that came in a box about 1'x1' shipped via UPS. Now, I really appreciate that they took the time and money to do this for me. But if I had known, I would have suggested a padded envelope and first class USPS to save them the money.

  5. You complained loudly and rudely, and got rewarded for it? Is that what you do to every beauty brand who you want free stuff out of? Complain, abuse, kick up a fuss, then wait for the free stuff to roll in?

    1. Its what I do when I spend $100+ dollars on something that is completely UNUSABLE. And it wasnt free. I bought a product that was DAMAGED and not USEFUL and wanted replacements on the unusable polishes.

      And is what YOU DO troll my site JUST to make rude comments? I have a big mouth, but unlike you, I am not afraid to put my name behind mine. Your IP address has made rude comments on my blog more than once. If all you want to do is troll and insult, then grow some balls and use your real name! Until then I am choosing to ignore all future comments from you.

  6. I don't know why you think my IP has made comments here before because I had never even heard of your little blog until I started researching Bondi New York. It's hard to take all your complaints against a company seriously when it looks like you are a serial complainer out for freebies.

    1. Thats an interesting comment since I have THOUSANDS of posts posted and have less than a quarter of a percent of my posts be complaints. And I have NEVER asked for freebies. But if you want to get damaged unusable products and not demand replacements thats your problem.

      And because I called Richard out as a liar, a cheat and a thief (he is. Its documented. And there is an entire facebook group of people still waiting for refunds who have all been blocked from posting on the Bondi Facebook page after demanding their money back) somehow it has to do with a damaged and faulty product I got a year earlier? That is interesting logic. I have never asked for a freebie or even a sample from Bondi and I woudnt accept one had Richard offered to pay me to take it.

      I am not quite sure how in your twisted logic my wanting a company to make right a $100+ purchase I made of damaged goods my being a serial complainer. And if you want a blog to do nothing but blow smoke up your ass and only blog when they have a great review or great experiences then go somewhere else. I am always 100% honest and upfront with my reviews. Bondi was a scam. They never donated a dollar. The charities say so. He used the RED CROSS to promote a sale he did and they never received a penny. He has a proven track record of lying and ripping off charities in his past. You can go talk to charities he not only lied about donating to, he actually stole from. I did nothing but publicize it. He never made or produced the fall/winter polishes. He lied about sending them out. He says they have been sent to other sellers to sell them, yet cant name one and no one has gotten one. Except 3 facebook winners who got the prototypes. Those are not opinions. They are facts. My posting them gains me NOTHING. I have no reason to state it other than that it is fact. Why you think it would in any way garner me freebies is beyond me.

  8. Not to mention that Richard is the one who started banging on about Jinx always asking for freebies when he was stalking her tweets and decided to post on one that she'd made to United airlines. And hmm..both 'Anonymous' comments on this blog use the words 'free stuff' and 'freebies'. Give it up stalker. Either grow a pair and post under your actual name or stfu and go back to into the hole you seem to always manage to crawl out of whenever Jinx so much as says Hi in public.

  10. I'm really disappointed in Bondi. I supported them and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I've been waiting since Oct 2013 for a refund. This is not just $20 or even $50. I paid $100 for a 6 month subscription. They still owe me $79.96 US! I contacted them on Nov 13th and 21st about not receiving my refund and was told both times to wait to receive it. I contacted them again and submitted a request form on Dec 12, got a reply on the 19th saying they'd received my request form and to allow 10-14 business days for an investigation and a refund. No refund. I contacted them again on Jan 1st 2014 asking about my refund. I got an email on Jan 6 2014 saying that my claim has been solved (just like my other claims have supposedly been solved) and that I should receive my refund within 7 days. This is complete bullshit! I've been very patient but my patience is wearing thin. I will never ever purchase from Bondi again.

  12. I am really disappointed in Bondi. I supported them and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I paid $100 for a 6 month subscription. They still owe me $79.96 US. I've been waiting since Oct 2013 for a refund. I contacted them on Nov 13th and 21st asking about my refund that I was supposed to get in Oct. I was told both times that it was processed and to wait. No refund. I contacted them and submitted a request form on Dec 12. I got a reply on the 19th that I have to wait 10-14 business days for them to investigate and to get my refund. Still no refund. I contacted them again on Jan 1st saying that I still don't have my refund. I got a reply on Jan 6th, again I was told to wait, this time 7 days to get my refund. I don't believe one bit that I'm going to get my money back. I've been very patient but my patience has worn thin. I'm sick of the lies! This is bullshit! I will never ever purchase from Bondi again!!
