Dior Holiday 2013 Palettes

So it seems like some of the first sneak peeks at Dior Holiday has floated online. I have ZERO information about theses, but here are the pics I managed to get my hands on. Personally, I am not into entire face palettes. I HATE when powders are mixed with creams, and it also doesn't my OCD about my stashwhen the palettes are in different shapes and cases.

Ive never purchased any of these holiday sets before, but if the one with the polish wasn't pink, I think that would be the one for me to pick up!

  1. Hi! Can you please MENTION THE SOURCE by linking to my blog. This is not the first article that has photos from my blog without the link. It's obvious the photo is maximized from my small photos. I think it's the decent thing to do, to recognize other bloggers work and effort by at least mentioning the source. Thank you!

    2. I don't want to start anything but if these photos were really sent by Dior there would be a color story attached to them, trust me. Dior never sends only photos without a color story so that's why I'm saying these photos were not given to you, they were from my blog. It's strange that you choose to post only the photos I posted when in the original material there are 30 more photos and also the info. Please check with your Dior source and you'll see that I'm right. That's all I'm saying.

PS: I also posted the Bobbi Brown Holiday 2013 Gift Sets/ Collection....I'm expecting you to post the same photos without any official info and link also.

  2. It's obvious these are promo pics that come from the company, and not a blogger! No need to be rude about it. I'm sure she knows how hard bloggers work, since she works hard herself! :) If they were personal photos, I'm sure there would be a link back and credit!

    1. They are not my personal pics, I never said they were but they weren't released by Dior for bloggers. I have my resources from where I've got these photos and they were meant to be posted as a sneak peek (here the photos are maximized and they look pixelated). Every blogger knows that when you don't receive promo pics from your PR or Brand Manager then you should mention the source from where you've got these. If Dior would have released these photos to bloggers trust me there would be posted on all of the famous beauty blogs. I believe my language is just honest and not rude as I haven't offended anyone.

    2. They weren't yours either. Who cares if you researched. Put your big girl panties on. If jinx used *your* photos she would hand credited you. Get over yourself.

    3. Hey Tavia,

I googled the said photo and found someone else that posted it before you .. Maybe next time you try to accuse someone of photo theft take a look at yourself . I personally will be boycotting your blog after seeing your rudeness and quite frankly childish behaviour . Promo shots that are put out by the brand are fair game for all unless stated and just an FYI when YOU watermark someone else's property YOU put YOURSELF out there for getting sued .

  3. Why would she mention your blog ?? Did you take the promo photos for Dior ?? Because its that's the case they still belong to DIOR not you . Maybe next time a private message would be best because the only thing you have done here is embarrass yourself infront of hundreds if not thousands of readers . And just an FYI she does give credit if she does borrow someone else's photos and she links to that person's blog.

  4. Why would she mention YOUR blog when you obivously took them from Promo shots from the company and further more SHE DIDNT GET THEM FROM YOUR BLOG ... she got them else where so you might wanna go find out PROPERLY where she got them from in the first place instead of being a .... Jinx ALWAYS gives credit where credit is DUE ...

  5. Wow, I initially scrolled down to comment on this post, but when I saw this craziness, my heart sank a bit.
First off, Tavia...I am just at a loss for words. Your blog is (err was) a go-to for so many of us for sneak peeks, upcoming collections, etc. However, your recent display of ego has many of us in the makeup world wondering whether you do what you do for your readers and your love of the industry, OR for your own personal self validation and recognition. In my eyes and the eyes of many that have seen this, you have gone from a pillar in the blog community to a seemingly self righteous name dropper. Is that what you've been doing for us all this time? Stroking your ego by dropping the biggest names in cosmetics...believing you have Carte Blanche to all the privy info? Because we were under the impression that you were a lover of all things make-up and beauty who wanted to give her readers a leg up on the best of the best.
Pics like these are easy to come by if you know where to look and who to contact, you of all people know that. Also, they could very well have had a color story with them...there is an invention out there called "photo editing software" if Jinx would have wanted to post the product photos only. That being said, I am appalled that you would be brazen enough to think that these photos were unequivocally yours, when, if you want to get technical, they belong to Dior, right?
This whole thing just reeks of ego and trust me, it stinks. If a bloggers interests lie with their readers, this kind of pettiness would never have surfaced it's ugly head. Giving credit where credit is due is important...so why don't you take off the tin-hat and give the credit to Dior and their PR team for releasing the pics for us ALL to enjoy in the first place! Who cares "who got there first"? As long as the info is out there for all to see and enjoy, that should be priority 1 if you are truly in it for your readers. End of rant.
On a better note, Jinx, this is the first time I have browsed your blog and I just wanted to say, awesome!!! Love it and thank you for what you do!
I was so bummed when I saw the creams/powders mixed in the face palette because it's full of products I'd love to have handy for travel ((the shimmer powder and eyeshadows for sure!!)). I'm wondering....last years Cherie Bow palette had a tiny flap over the lip products which made it a game changer for me! My hope is that Dior may have possibly done this again? It doesn't appear so in the photos though :( welp, as my daddy uses to say...you can wish in one hand and crap in the other...see which gets filled first! ;-D
Again, thanks for an awesome blog!
