This Chanukah sweater by the label Faux Real was for sale on the Nordstrom website until its Facebook page lit up with complaints of those finding it offensive. Being called offensive and even degrading by one, it was pulled from the website.
I have to say though, I WANT it! Chai Maintenance on top of the menorah, Hanukkah J.A.P on the bottom of it, this somehow was considered offensive enough to warrant being pulled from the site. Am I a JAP? I go back and forth between being offended and wanting to punch someone in the face when they call me one, to going "yeah, I kind of am!!". I think now that I am an adult who buys my own clothing, shoes, accessories and pays for my own lifestyle, I feel less offended by the title. Had you called me that at 20? I MIGHT have punched you. Ok, I would have imagined punching you.
Either way, if I can get my hands on this sweater, you can bet your ass I will be wearing it to any and every ugly holiday sweater party I ever attend!! Not sure why, but totally and completely OBSESSED with this!
