Tarte Off The Cuff Amazonian Clay Palette

Now I know that this palette is a hot item right now and I KNOW that it is sold out every where. But I have to say, I don't think that is going to be such a bad thing for many of you. Its a great quality palette and the product is fabulous but I think it wont work for many people. Myself included.

The palette comes wrapped in a faux leather cuff with a big metal bow on it. I think it looks kind of cheap and honestly is something I would never wear. But its not why I bought the palette and is just an extra. But to me I wish it wasnt with the set. Its simply a waste as far as I am concerned.

And then the palette. 

Now I know I already harped on this during my last Tarte review but seriously. PUT THE NAMES OF THE COLOURS ON THE DAMN PALETTE ITSELF?! OK?! Got it? Good. It seriously drives me mad! That clear plastic sheet is going to fall out of the palette with use and then no clue which colour is which.

From left to right we have Crave, Dazzled, Darling, Dollface and Park Ave Princess. Dollface, Dazzled and Park Ave Princess are all available individually on the Sephora website, Dollface and Park Ave Princess are also available at Sephora as a duo. Crave and Darling are exclusive to this set.

Crave is a warm pink-coral, Dazzled a warm berry rose leaning a little mauve, Darling is a rose toned peach, Dollface a blue toned pink and Park Ave. Princess is gold toned brown. These all have VERY good colour pay off, but the downside is these have a REALLY GOOD colour pay off! 

Now I am pretty sure I am returning this. The ONLY colour I might wear, and I mean ONLY one is possibly dollface. And its available on its own for less money. I just cant justify keeping it. Now dont get me wrong, the colours are FABULOUS, but they are not for me. Too bright and dark. Too much work to make them work on my glow in the dark white skin. They are just too much. Oh, and these swatches are done LIGHTLY. They really swatch twice as dark!

Toronto IMATS Trip Haul!

OK, so I was a bit of a bad girl when I was in Toronto. Ok, scratch that. I was VERY VERY VERY bad when I was in Toronto. I am going to be reviewing the items I purchased over the next few weeks but I thought I would give you all a bit of a preview.

Yeah........... I know! I know! A little insane! A LOT insane actually. Thankfully I am a blogger and as a blogger I need products to show you all and review. So basically, if you are reading this, then you are responsible for this. No? That doesn't work? I'm going to stick with that! Hehe!

Now in my massive ($400 big) order from Sephora included this little thing:

Yes, the rouge aka "you need to get help and get treatment because you obviously have an addiction as no one needs to or should spend this much money on makeup in a year" card.

And that card comes with a limited edition exclusive to VIB Rouge only members matte red lipstick.

And I did pick up this 500 point perk. The perk that was supposed to be online only or so I was told a month ago when it came out and I tried to pick it up at home. But at Sephora in Eaton Centre in Toronto there were TONS of them!

And now I will say goodbye for now and keep a look out for all these products and more being reviewed in the upcoming weeks!

Lancome Holiday Beauty Collection PWP!

Its that time of year again. The Lamcome traincases. Its one of those holiday features you can just ALWAYS count on coming out. I have purchased it in the past (usually to split up with someone) and it is once again something I am debating. Now one of the department stores near me has a hard time selling these

and usually about a week or two before Christmas they just start selling them without enforcing the PURCHASE WITH PURCHASE aspect. 

They come in warm and cool as always, and inside is a full-size Définicils mascara, a full-size Bi-Facial makeup remover, a full-size Le Crayon kohl eyeliner, full sized Blush Subtil, 3 full-sized Color Design eyeshadows, 2 full sized Color Design lipcolors, a full-size Juicy Tubes lip gloss as well as two makeup brushes, a deluxe sample of La Base pro makeup primer, a deluxe sample New Advanced Génifique youth activating concentrate along with a train case and an artistry guide. 

Is it worth the usually $49.50-$69.50 price tag? Well for the full sized items alone, 

Now, I couldnt add the bi-facil to the order as it was sold out, but since it has the same retail price as the l'absolu rouge la base I put that in instead. So the retail value of JUST the full sized products is $275. The only thing that is different from the ones purchased to ones in this set are the lipsticks. They may be full sized regular lipsticks, but they come in the packaging that is more simple. The packaging of the gift with purchase lipsticks as opposed to the ones you purchase.

So if I have the opportunity to pick up the entire set for simply the $60 or so bucks its costs, would I? Time will tell. I'd like to think that THIS year I will stick to my self imposed no buy before heading to Los Angeles for IMATS, but I also know myself!

Shiseido Gift Set - Perfect Foundation Brush, Perfect Gift Set

So I want to show you all today a really ugly patent leather makeup bag/purse.

I hope you can see just how cheap and ugly the bag is. Because now I am going to tell you just how much you NEED to get this bag!

The first thing inside this bag is the Shideido Perfect Foundation Brush. And while perfect is a strong word, its applicable. This brush is AMAZING! The ONLY way I will apply foundation. Its simply brilliant. The ONLY downside, is that its a bitch to clean. But if you want a flawless airbrushed finish, forget the fingers, throw out the old foundation brush or old sponges and pick this brush up. You WONT regret it! Retail value - $35.

Next up in the bag is the Pore Refining Makeup Primer. This is a flesh toned face primer that blends clear. Its a silicone base but it feels light and seems to really smooth the face out nicely. Retail value - $30

And lastly, it comes with a box of facial cotton.

And how much is this ENTIRE set? $40! I TOLD you you needed to run to get it. I'll now leave you to run to Sears or The Bay and pick this set up!

Warning to all. I wouldnt take this as fact. I find it hard to believe that there is such a palette!

But wait! More and more people are posting saying they bought this in France. But why would France be the first place to get the UD palette that is from an American company? It makes no sense! I almost wonder, if it IS a real one and in that case Urban Decay REALLY dropped the ball on both quality, packaging and uniqueness of colour,  or maybe Sephora France itself got duped into buying fakes? LUSH Bombardini Bath Bomb Review And Demonstration

So this was another new bath bomb I got. I couldnt help it. The fact that it smells like a pastry was just icing on the cake. Its too cute to not pick up! BUT............ Maybe next time I will leave the Bombardino in the store. Yes. Its ADORABLE! And I love looking at it. BUT........

Yes. There is a but. Sad. I know. It smelled amazing when I dropped it in the water. And then...... not so much. It mainly did dissolve like a bath bomb should (minus the fizzing sound) until it didn't. A big part of the white hat just never dissolve. And the eyes just fell and crumbled in the bottom of the bathtub and had to be scrubbed out after the fact. And then, to add insult to injury, the smell dissipated after about 15 minutes. Not a happy Jinx at the end of THIS bath!

Luxury Lush Pud Review And Demonstration

So when I went in to the LUSH store the other day I asked the sales girl what the newest and most exciting things were that were out for the holiday season. This was one of her recommendations. And since I love Lavender I had to pick this one up.

"This year we have completely transformed the traditional LUSH Pud. The first thing you'll notice is the deep purple color of the base, studded with polka dots of color that float to the surface making pastel islands in the water. Then you'll inhale the magnificent aroma of lavender oil, sweet benzoin and comforting tonka absolute. You may recognize the scent from our best-selling year-round bomb Twilight. Sink in for a fluffy, frothy end-of-day soak, relax, release your worries and emerge for a restful slumber."

Now, I must say that this did NOT smell like lavender to me. Or maybe it had notes of lavender, but it also was just an overall florally/herbally scent. Not sure I loved the smell, but didn't dislike it. I also tend to take a book into the bathtub and really enjoy a bath. So this was no different. An hour later, the scent was still very much apparent which was nice. Nothing less appealing than stepping out of funny coloured water that has no scent. And while at the time I was worried about it staining the bathtub, I am happy to announce that there was none of that with this one. It just stained my hand!

Now, because it exploded in such a funny weird, bizarre fashion, I thought I would share with you its explosion! 

Ceramic Glaze Shimmer And Sparkle Collection

When I saw the press release for the new Ceramic Glaze Shimmer And Sparkle Collection I was super excited! I couldn't wait to see them in real life! So I am really excited to get to share with you three of the colours that were sent to me for review!

From left to right, Let it Glow, All Decked Out and Glitter Bells.

There really is not much to say other than "OOOHH!! Pretty colours!!". The formula on these is all great. Its consistent, easy to spread, and wears well. Its made by the same company as China Glaze and the formula shows it. I find it just as consistent as China Glaze polishes.

And here are all the colours! I think I will have to pick up Shimmy Down The Chimney as well! And not only because the name is fantastic!
