Cheeky Monkey Get Wet, Lucky U, Tease & Raunchy Bitch Swatches!

So today I have four Cheeky Monkey Polishes to share with you. While I do like the formula on these (except for Lucky U which is a streaky mess) there is one BIG flaw. The colour pictures and descriptions on the website are AWFUL. Like REALLY awful. Nothing similar to reality!

Get Wet is a pastel baby blue/turquoise creme. Its more blue than green and reminds me of a lighter bluer version of Tiffany Blue. To show you how different it is based on the website description,

It is not at all a jelly, nor is it anywhere near the blue that it shows in the picture!

Lucky You is streaky mess. Its a metallic light green that is super streaky and very thin at the same time.

 

It looks according to the picture description above to be a smooth creamy mint green. Not the pastel metallic it really it is. 

Tease is a creamy pastel purple. Creamy and smooth, its the perfect pastel purple!

 

This is not a grey mauve at all. It is a true pastel purple creme. And much lighter than the pictures suggests! 

Raunchy Bitch is a bright metallic purple with crazy royal blue shimmer! I am so beyond proud of myself that the picture above is so colour accurate!

 

Now according to the website its a metallic blue. And the pictures shows a metallic almost black navy. NOOOO!!!!!!! It is PURPLE! PURPLE PURPLE PURPLE! Yes, it has great blue shimmer, but there is zero doubt that this colour is PURPLE! See the above swatch. That is true to life colour!

Now I must say, I am not really super duper excited about any of these items. I think I will probably pick up a Brightside Bubble Bar, but that is it. I got the Lush Carrot Re-Usable Bubble Bar from my mom last year and while I really appreciate it (I think I might have gotten two from her and still have one?!) I think it was one of the MOST disappointing bubble bars I have ever used from LUSH!

New Clinique Nail Polishes - 21 Of Them!

So apparently Clinique is coming out with 21 new nail polishes shortly. 12 will be permanent and 9 will be limited edition.

Sindulge OR Canada Post - Which Company Is MORE Ridiculous? ITS A TIE!

Remember when I posted my order from Sindulge? No? Me Neither! Its been THAT long! Middle of December is when it was ordered. It never came. Then they shipped me something else. It never came. I honestly thought that Sindulge was just one big scam up until today. I had heard some other issues others had had and was pretty sure you just didn't get merchandise you ordered from the website. They did in the end paypal me the money but I really wasnt sure how two packages get lost from a company. 

THEN. Today. I get a package from SINDULGE!!! I was SOOO excited. Until I picked up the box. The MINUTE I picked it up I knew there was something very wrong. The box had NO weight to it. Not quite an empty box, but certainly not a perfume, let alone the four that should have been in there. 

So I open up the box and look at what is inside. I see the perfume boxes, and I see the plastic that should have been on the perfume boxes sitting in the box.

Yup. TOTALLY EMPTY BOXES!!!!!!!

And this lovely letter from Canada Border Services telling me that they removed the hazardous materials from the mail. Perfume is a dangerous (read flammable) substance.

Now I have a few big issues with this.

ISSUE ONE:

Now this is from the FAQ on the Sindulge site. I am not sure if it means they only ship to Canada or that they ship to the US and the only NON american addresses they ship to is Canadian ones. Either way, they clearly ship to Canada. So when I called today to tell them what happened the response was "oh. I guess we cant ship perfume to Canada". Now they CAN ship flammable things to Canada but they have to do it in a specific way. But shouldnt a company know that if they are shipping to Canada? I would think so.

ISSUE TWO:
If Canada Post is always talking about how much money they are losing and about possibly moving to four day delivery weeks instead of five day weeks, I have an idea that can save them a boat load of money. They took EVERYTHING out of this box. Instead of putting all the garbage (the wrapping and plastic) back in to the box and shipping it across the country, why not just stick a letter in the mail saying that they destroyed it? Why pay the cost (I assume its a big cost of $15-$20 based on what they charge us Canadians to ship things across the country) to send the big box to me instead of a little letter?

I DONT GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANY OF IT!!!!!!!

The Reason Why I HATE The Beauty Industry Some Times!

So I am trying really hard to find a face routine that WORKS. How did they discontinue my moisturizer, my eye cream, my toner AND my cleanser all in ONE YEAR??!! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!!!

So how does this happen? How does everything I use get discontinued? This was my previous routine:

Now I will be honest. The eye cream I dont think DID anything for me but it was the first of dozens and dozens of products that didnt hurt/sting/irritate my eyes. And yes. That was all I asked for it to do for me. The toner is a slightly sticky gel that people used to hate on it for being sticky, but OMG!! It was the MOST SOOTHING thing on the planet. It just smelled and felt amazing. Grapefruit smell was lovely and it just felt soooo amazing on! 

So yeah..... The Korres Pomegranate Balancing Moisturizer is my biggest upset. I am totally GUTTED that it is gone and I stocked up on a year and a half supply when it was discontinued. My last one expired in November but I used it until two weeks ago when it ran out. 

So far, this is what my new routine looks like. And thankfully, I think these products are pretty permenant in the line and not going anywhere. 

I have tried a ton of moisturizers in the last month and so far Clinique Moisture Surge Intense seems to be looking like a very strong contender. And the eye cream......... BAH!!!!!

OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection!

So I am so beyond excited by this collection I had to share it with you. I have really really loved the liquid sand polishes (the look, the feel AND the wear). So to see a full collection of them coming out is super exciting. Now I had taken these three images off of two different blogs and I was going to credit both blogs, but it seems that both blogs took the images from the same spot. And only one credited the original source.  SO for the original info, check out THIS POST.  There are more pictures available there!!

So what do you think? I KNOW I need all but the pink one. I would say I dont need the red one (I am not a red person) but ITS NAMED JINX!!!!!!!!! Now for those of you who dont know where Polish Jinx or Blue Jinx came from, here is the story. I was setting up my IRC (yes, I said IRC. And I still use IRC. Im kind of a dork!) and needed a handle. I had just gotten home from a date that involved the newest at the time Bond movie. I had Halle Berry's character in my head and her explaining that she is a Jinx to everyone she meets and said "Im going to be Jinx! It fits!!". Sadly Jinx was taken and my date said "every thing you like is blue. Be bluejinx". And BlueJinx was born. Which became the Polish Jinx when I started this blog. So as you can see, I really NEED to have the POLISH called JINX!

Candy Shock Collection For Catrice Spring 2013

Catrice is coming out with a new collection called Candy Shock. Now let me just start by saying I LOVE LOVE LOVE Catrice polishes! I really do. BUT........ I feel like this is too little too late. I feel like the caviar beads thing is just kind of over. And since we all know by now that if we go to the scrapbooking department of ANY craft store we can buy the micro beads for $2-$3 for a BIG bag! So if you as a cosmetic company are going to tempt me to purchase these "caviar beads" then it better be a really great colour combination that I would be forced to make myself using many different colours of beads. This, is not going to tempt me.

Catrice calls these Nail Sugar Pearls and they are limited edition (usually a 6-8 week span if past is a good indicator) and the shades are C01 Cotton Candy and C02 Sugar Shock. I will give you more info when I have it!

Julep Harley VS Julep Leighton

I was asked to compare these two colours so as always, I figured I should post them on my blog as well as just sending the picture to the person who requested it. Both are metallic silvers and both are kind of streaky and annoying to work with.

Harley is on the left in all of these, Leighton on the right. I personally like Leighton better. What about you?
