NARS Spring 2014 Collection
So far NARS 2014 there are two new nail polishes. The first is a cantaloupe colour called Wind Dancer that is pictured below and the other is a repromote called Dovima. I don't know about you guys, but I feel like NARS has really been doing the orange thing a lot lately. I am not complaining about this, but it seems to me that a lot of the recent limited edition shades over the last two years have been orange. Is it just me?

Tweed Polishes From Ciate Paint Pots
Have you guys seen these new Tweed polishes from Ciate? These are awesome in theory, I love the look on the promo image (though not the pink) but the description of it is a mix of flecks of matte glitter, sequin strands and creamy colour hues. It kind of gives the impression of every texture mixed together and kind of makes me nervous for the real live image. But Ciate is known for the new, the weird and the kinda cool. So I am mostly SUPER EXCITED to see these and get my hands on them!

Be MATTEnificent Palette For Tarte Spring 2014
So if you are a matte shadow lover and like neturals, the new Tarte Mattenifficent palette might be for you. I really wish I could get excited about this, but I was SORELY disappointed with my first experience with the brand and not sure I want to jump in and try again.
Are you familiar with the brand? Have you been happy with the products of theirs you have tried? If so which ones? I would love to hear your opinions!

Julep Farrah Swatch
This is a quick cell phone shot of my manicure. I FRIGGEN LOVE IT!!!!!! Its totally NOT something I would normally like. Its almost pink. But its a lilac-y, coppery, nudish, pinkish hybrid with a suede finish (they call it silk, but basically a less shimmery suede, still just a matte) that is so amazing. It seems to wear better than a traditional suede and I am in LOVE! This was in my maven box that came today and I did a one finger swatch and loved it so much I slapped a quick single coat on each nail before heading to bed.
This is my new perfect neutral. And I think I need to order a back up because I am going to go through this bottle super fast! It dries fast and is simply too easy to apply and just quickly slap on!
THANKS JULEP!

Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Lipsticks and Color Boost Lip Pencils
So about a month back during a Beauty Gala at a Shoppers Beauty Boutique I picked up these three lip products. The lipstick was $20 and the pencils $18.
Now I have never tried Bourjois products before (other than one mascara reviewed previously on the blog) and had no idea what to expect. The one thing I can tell you I INSTANTLY dont like about the lipstick is the name is on the sticker only. The number is printed on the lipstick, but once I peel the sticker off (and I will as I HATE the look of stickers on the products) the name will be gone.
Aside from that, there is NOTHING about this product I can complain about.
This is a coral leaning pink and it is soooooo moisturizing and applies beautifully
.
This is a quick swatch on the lips with no mirror and no balm or scrub put on first.
Next up are the Color Boost pencils in 02 Fuchsia Libre and 03 Orange Punch. Now these have NO NAMES OR NUMBERS on them other than on the stickers. Insert angry cry here!
Now when I bought these I thought they were like a Clinique Chubby Stick or one of the other 349.493 gloss balms on the market. I was wrong. These are like the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains. They are balmy, and hydrating but they really do STAIN the lip. Not as much as the balm stains, but far more than any other balm I have. AND..... they are more moisturizing than most of the others also!
All three swatched together:
And all there after scrubbing my arm with a makeup remover wipe. Notice I cant get all the product off?
And with my purchase of $50 or more I got to choose a little mesh bag of items as a gift with purchase. I chose this bag mainly because I thought the shadow would make a nice highlighter. All three of these products are full sized. The smile enhancing gloss is $21 alone. The shadow is $17 and the duochrome eye pencil costs $17. So for the $56 I was spending anyways, I got to try another $55 in product! Not to bad!
Now of these, the only thing i have tried from the gift with purchase so far is the smile enhancing gloss. I am actually missing a layer of enamel or something on my teeth (dentists told me years ago, darned if I remember!) but it leads to my teeth yellowing FAR faster than most people. So I am all about Crest white strips and figured this would be a great product for me. WRONG! I tried the gel ONCE. And only once. And it instantly HURT! So much so that I immediately wiped it off, and it still hurt for quite awhile longer. Will NOT be using or recommending this product. And having used white strips for ages, I have never had such a reaction to a product before.
Have you tried any products from Bourjois before? What do you think? So far I am BEYOND impressed and a little confused as to why we don't hear more about the brand! I will certainly be trying more!

Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette In 809 Petal Shine
So aside from these shadows being buttery soft, super smooth and easy to apply, there is really not a lot to say about this palette. Its part of the permanent line so nothing new, and basically, just a really pretty quint. I adore Dior shadows and thought now that I have finally broken open this palette and used it I would share swatches with you all!
This is ONE swipe of each shade with a finger on BARE skin. Yup. Gotta love Dior shadows, dont you?
MAC Pre-Filled 15 Pan Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes
I tend to follow more BRITISH beauty bloggers than I do Canadian or American. It makes sense being that I live in Canada, no? I have NO IDEA why I do it, but it just kind of happened. And to be honest, I find the common thread of being frustrated that brands wont ship to them comforting. Its not JUST Canadians companies hate. Its all of us Non Americans! But anyways, The Sunday Girl posted MONTHS ago that MAC would be coming out with two neutral, pre-filled 15 pan eyeshadow palettes.
Shades include: Flounce, Sweet Allure, Sun Tweaked, Blackberry (Permanent), After Dusk, Pick Me Up, Crushed Clove, Cozy Grey, Deception, Brun (Permanent), Silver Fog, French Clay, Cumulus, Pearled Earth and Black Tied (Permanent)
I am not a MAC girl. I think they are overpriced for what they are. NOT high end makeup, NOT drugstore, they sit in a great little niche of being in between, IF you got the quality I have come to expect from makeup lines. But sadly, I find they are soooooooooo hit and miss, you are better off just splurging on less high end products, or if you are in to the risk, party hard at a drugstore! Inglot to me succeeds in that in-between land that MAC doesn't in my opinion.
BUT....... these pre-filled palettes are filled with some MAC classic permanent and re-release shades! So I guess it will depend on the cost.
Shades include: Flounce, Sweet Allure, Sun Tweaked, Blackberry (Permanent), After Dusk, Pick Me Up, Crushed Clove, Cozy Grey, Deception, Brun (Permanent), Silver Fog, French Clay, Cumulus, Pearled Earth and Black Tied (Permanent)
Shades include: Hey, Warm Breeze, Gingersnap, Dark Brew, Dance In The Dark, Brule Permanent), Vanilla Extract, Honey Lust (Permanent), Amber Lights (Permanent), Saddle (Permanent), Lemon Tart, Butterfudge, Creative Copper, Unwind and Divine Decadence.
What do you guys think? Are either of these on your must have list?
