Deborah Lippmann Fashionista Nail Lacquer Gift Set Trio
Now this is the Neiman Marcus Exclusive set (apparently, if Nordstroms gets one, they have to also!). This set is 3 FULL size polishes so in that respect its a little better than the Dance Music set, though the colours are not as unique in my opinion.
This set contains the following Fashionista shades: Envy Me, Sweet Spot, and Milkshake and IS ALSO AVAILABLE AT HOLT RENFREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take that Amercians! We get the goods too! It is about time!!

Deborah Lippmann 'Dance Music' Holiday Mini Trio
Deborah Lippmann has yet another limited edition set out! Anyone else getting exhaused with all of them? This is one of two new sets and I will in the next post show off the other one. This one is called Dance Music and contains three colours; Just Dance (aqua glitter), Dancing in the Dark (disco ball in the dark glitter) and Flash Dance (orchid glitter). These are mini polishes, but unlike previous mini sets, these ones are shaped like the full size versions. A theme I hope remains for Lippmann. I really do not personally like the previous shape of the mini polishes. These ones are 0.2 oz. each as opposed to the 0.5 oz. size of the normal ones.
These are available exclusively to Nordstroms............ in the United States. In Canada, they ARE available at Holt Renfrew!!!!!!! So there Americans!!!! We get it too!!!!!!!!!!!! And the set is $29.00 american, and the Canadian price is $32.00!!! Finally we are NOT really being ripped off, AND WE GET IT!!!

Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers & Julep Brooklyn Swatches
So what kind of red glitter person are YOU? I kept hearing from a few friends that Julep Brooklyn was Ruby Red Slippers in a red base instead of black. Let me just say now, NO. The are so different and unique, the only similarities between them are they both are nail polish and both are in the red family of colours. Ruby red slippers is a black jelly with small and hexagonal red glitter. The Julep is a ruby red jellyish (more like a jelly crème hybrid) with red glitter mixed in. When you wear the Ruby Red Slippers it almost looks like the glitter sits on top of the nail (like you are wearing black nail polish and put on a red glitter top coat), Brooklyn has a completely different feel to it. It looks like the glitter is shining from within the polish if that makes sense? It certainly doesn't look like a glitter top coat sitting on top. The depth and texture is shockingly intense and detailed. Now if you are wondering why this swatch of Brooklyn look so completely and utterly different than the swatch when I got the polish, this is with a top coat. The look of the polish is dramatically altered by a shiny top coat (the Dior fast dry top coat is my go to)
So with the upcoming holidays, the question remains,. how do YOU red glitter???

Les Rouge Or for Dior Holiday 2011
The story of Dior and Gold is a long one, with its origins in the very sound of the name ―Dior. This fact did not escape Jean Cocteau who said, “Dior, this airy genius of our times whose magical name includes that of God (Dieu) and Gold (or).” Rigour combined with excess: it was a prophetic name. From his first couture collections at the end of the 1940s, Christian Dior toyed with gold as the ultimate symbol of true luxury and dreams, as seen in his 1947 ―Champagne gold‖ silk Aladdin gown, in the 1949 ―Pactole gown and so on.
Gold was synonymous with refinement, also appearing as a delicate highlighting touch on perfume bottles and the first lipsticks. Thus, the fascination with gold has continued over the decades. In whichever way it is used, gold is always symbolic of a doorway into a dream. And today the House of Dior is inviting us to a new enchanted experience with a flamboyant collection created by Tyen, where the colour gold provides the setting for Dior’s emblematic Rouge Dior lipcolors and Vernis nail varnishes. Gold reveals the potency of their shades, and like gold powder thrown into crystal fusion to colour it red, gold equals refinement; it glimmers with luxury.
Les Rouge Or Collection (or if you are in Australia, the Dior Daring Golden Collection) is now out at counters world wide. The collection consists of four colours; 221 Or Divin, 611 Exquis, 651 Merveille, and 871 Apparat.
Three of the four had FANTASTIC pigment, formula and thickness. Or Divin was a nightmare for me. It took four coats to be more or less opaque and it still looks streaky to me! The other three are all one coat and a dream to work with! Swatches of each on their own along with comparisons are coming very shortly!
Now, as for why it took so long for me to get these, my sales associate convinced me to wait until this past Saturday as there was a BIG gift with purchase that I wouldn't want to miss. Well guess what? I could have easily missed out on it! The bag it came in? A paper Dior shopping bag. NOT a makeup bag, just a cheap paper bag. And inside?
The only thing I will use is the little mascara. And while yes, a half sized mascara (maybe a little less than that) is nice, THAT WAS THE BIG GIFT WITH PURCHASE??? Cheap and lousy event in my book!!

November Julep Maven Makeup Bag
Apparently, its makeup bag today at The Polish Jinx. A lovely friend took photos for me so I could show you all. The bag is much larger than I expected to be honest with you!
Holt Renfrew Private Label Paramount Beauty Bag Reviews and Pictures
Look at that!!! Can you tell how big it is based on my hand? BIG! Now when I saw Holt Renfrew post this bag/deal on facebook, I just assumed we wouldn't get it at our tiny store front of a store. So I called expecting a no. Instead? I got a 5 minute ode to this bag. She went on and on about how great it was, she was getting for all her friends for the holidays and I HAD to get it! The best part I was told on the phone was that the lining was all plastic lined. So if something spills, you just wipe it up!
It also comes with a mesh bag that snaps into the inside. And another pouch as well. I can see using this separately for jewellery when travelling, as I think this is big enough to actually use when I go on my two week New York trips without being TOO bulky it takes up all the room in my suitcase!
Now I had no urge for the skincare sample, so off it went to my mom! Though I am very excited to try the Laura Mercier foundation primer. I have not yet found one I love. So this will be quite usefull. And the eyelash curler actually came with a spare sponge for the head! All in all, very happy with this!
And while our Holt Renfrew is small and frustrating how tiny it is and that they only carry a dozen brands (two makeup lines and thats it. Bobbi Brown & Laura Mericer) in the tiny store front shop they have in front of the private shoppers, the service is AMAZING! Melanie is one of the most helpful associates I have ever dealt with anywhere!! And look at all the samples they stuck in the shopping bag?
Now this also came with a ten dollar voucher towards your next purchase, which of course I also made! I got Lippmann Good Girls Gone Bad (the only holiday colour they got in as of yesterday) but I got a phone call 3 hours after I left the rest came in! So I will be heading back soon! Now what really stunned me was I ordered my top coat (dior) 2 months ago but I called them to apologize and tell them I was going to be unable to pick it up as I was being rushed in for surgery ahead of time. Well its been TWO months, and Melanie would not send it back. It as just sitting there waiting for the next time I came in!
LOVE IT!!!

Oh My Gosh!!! Mini Lacquer Collection
So yesterday I showed you all the set I got of mini (not so mini - 62% of the full size) nail polishes. I could not find any info about the set, when it was released, or anything. Well after extensive searching today, it seems that there was a limited edition release of 20 colours of these mini Oh My Gosh nail polishes made. Each one retailed for £2.99 and was exclusive to SuperDrug in the UK. Will they come here? I have NO IDEA. I have 5 of them, so either way, I got 25% of the collection!!
The colours in the range are: Pink Red, Classic Red, Red Noir, Deep Pink Red, Deep Red, Orange Red, Apple Green, Bright Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Blue, Electric Pink, Orange Squash, Ashy Grey, Brown Grey, Mouse Grey, Light Muscat Nutt, Peachy Rose, Nude Champagne and Light Rose

Tuff Scent Stardust Nail Polish
So as I posted a week or two ago, I won a twitter contest meaning I GOT A FREE POLISH!! Let me just start by saying this was NOT a good thing. All of a sudden, another 11 or so polishes is added to my insane wishlist. And never before have I heard of this brand. Had I gone to the website and chosen a colour myself, I would have chosen Stardust. How they just knew to send me that one, is beyond me. But that is the one they sent!!
Now this colour is a holographic glitter bomb. Its seriously the most awesome glitter I have ever seen!!! Its so holographic and bright, you may want to put your sunglasses on!! The scent is kind of hard to describe. It says Ocean Breeze. I don't know if it smells like that, but it certainly is fresh smelling. And not overpowering. I swatched these about 16 hours ago though, and it certainly still smells, but not so much that OTHERS will smell it on you. More like YOU will notice it every so often.
Now the cap is a really great solid cap. Feels like metal and is very solid. The problem is its very tiny making doing your nails a bit awkward as its not a comfortable grip on the handle. That being said the brush is substantial and dense making application a dream.
The only issue I really had with this polish (aside from the awkward cap) is that there is a small diagonal crack in the top of the bottle where the ridges are the cap goes on. I dont know if you can tell from the photo, but the crack is certainly there. Now while I am normally totally anal about my polishes, for a polish I got for free, I really cant complain can I? The cap does cover it and still fits on so hopefully it wont cause an issue in the longevity of the polish!!
Now I have to apologize, as my photos do NOT do this polish justice! This is two coats of this fantastic amazing holographic glitter! Seriously, if I were you reading this right now, I would run to the website and pick it up (along with a few others!)
