Now, I really know I don't need it! I have 17 of them already (I own 32 total) and while I REALLY want this set, I am going to do my best to AVOID it. Its $350 Canadian, and I just wish I could justify it. It would be $280 in a week and a half during VIB, and I am already trying to plot in my head how to make it mine. Which is NOT a good thing! 

Urban Decay Black Market 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil Set - Swatched!

So for those of you like me who LOVE Urban Decay 24/7 Liners you are going to love this set. This set is great for those of you who just can't quite justify the price tag on the Ocho Loco 2 set. These pensicls are 3/4 of the size of the regular ones so they are also good for travel!

These shades are also much more muted and neutral than the Ocho Loco set, Even the Purple and Blue ones are more of a Navy and a dark purple. So they are a little less scary if you, like me are allergic to colour (on your face).

Both Desperation and Riot were a little disappointing in the colour payoff, but neither were bad.  Just not quite the normal level I come to expect from them!

LORAC Dazzling Dozen Limited Edition Eye Shadow Collection - Swatched.

When I saw this set advertised for sale on the Ulta website I had a little bit of a tantrum. TWELVE full sized eye shadows that retail for $19 each for $35?! And NOT available in Canada? LORAC immediately went on my shit list. I mean, come on! They took the brand out of Canadian Sephora stores and now its an online only deal-io. Whats next? Why does the brand hate us? And why do I love the eyeshadows so much?

Now I only want half of these. But its cheaper to buy all 12 than to buy two! AND... I asked my mom if "hypothetically" she could choose any 6 from this set which six would it be and she chose the same 6 I didnt want! FATE! So with the set split at $17.50 a piece for 6 shadows, all the jinx girls are happy. Bluejinx (me)

Now I should mention all these swatches are WITHOUT primer, WITHOUT a brush, just using a finger to swatch them. Are you as impressed as I am? These shades are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

And now I should grudgingly admit that the 6 that are my moms are maybe even NICER than the 6 that are mine. In pigmentation and payoff. Not that I would wear any of them!

Again, ONE SWIPE with NO PRIMER! The glitter fall out in Celebutante and Starlight is a little reminiscent of Urban Decay shadows of yesteryear and my mom wore Starlight over her eyeliner the other day and it flaked off in chunks. Something neither one of us has ever experienced before. I would recommend a sticky base if you can find one! But oh my goodness are they gorgeous!!!! Talk about night and day difference from the Tarte ones!

Urban Decay Ocho Loco 2 Set For Holiday 2013 - Swatched

So I picked up the new Urban Decay liners because, lets face it, Im a 24/7 liner whore. I love them. They are the ONLY eyeliners I use. They are the only liners I CAN use that dont me look like a racoon. And so of course I picked up this set. The value is great. $68 for 8 full sized instead of $23 each. SO its buy 3 get a dollar off and 5 free and a grindhouse free! So what that I only want 5 in the set? Still a great deal! And I got to gift the backup Perversion and make a friends day! So double win!

The only thing to really note other than "Look at the pretty colours" is the Grindhouse has been redesigned. It really is the best sharpener I have ever used. It even cuts through those almost plastic NYX shadow pencils like butter! Neon yellow and matte now. Not quite as big a receptacle in it as the old one so you may be emptying it a little more frequently though.

So here are the actual pencils Again, all I can say is "look at the pretty colours". I like that Crave is Matte and for some bizarre reason I like that the pencil itself LOOKS matte. Really, who cares what the outer label looks like if it works, but it still is quite nice. And Roach and Twice baked have a shimmery label to match the shimmery finish. These are really quite glittery yet the fall out isn't a worry.
