Some of you may remember me posting this pic FOREVER ago and my promising swatches. I have NO IDEA how I forgot to follow through! Bah!!

I swatched it over white, black, red and then by itself. The first three are one coat each, the last one by itself is two coats. I think I like it best over white!

Inglot O2M Breathable Nail Enamel In 656 Swatches & Review

While in NYC I picked up one of their O2M Breathable Nail Enamels. They CLAIM that "High technology is revolutionizing the nail beauty through a new polymer KS-02 designed for the contact lenses. Not tested on animals.The use of new polymer … significantly increases the oxygen permeability of the varnish films (until 54 cm3/sec),  improves the permeability to water vapour, facilitates the varnish spreading and reduces the film tightness"

This one is a gorgeous teal colour. I really like the colour and it applied so beautifully and smoothly. BUT... as it dried it started to bubble some. And it went RIGHT through the base coat and stained my nails! I can not say that this impressed me for the 14.00 price tag. Which is sad as it is so pretty. It costs MORE than the normal polishes, and it stains? If that's what a  breathable polish does, give me back my NON breathable ones. It does look pretty though. And it dries so bright and shiny that you can almost use your nails as mirrors. Totally THAT reflective and glossy!!!! Swatches are with NO top coat INDOORS!!!

GOSH Blossom Collection Spring 2012 & Swatches

I didn't want any of these polishes to be honest when looking at the promo pics. They do not look ANYTHING like these! The green, is more of a dusty light green. My pics do not really do it justice either. But its not a minty green. The Raw Rose is a faded purple-ey dusty rose. Not very pinky at all. I really like both of these! The formula was great, just what I would expect from Gosh!

Now I got two things from this collection. The lipstick in Oasis and the lipgloss in Desert. I wish I could say how happy I was with these. But sadly I was left disappointed with both. While these were not in the price range that my makeup usually comes with, I expect more for my money. The lipstick packaging was broken when I took it out of the package. For 15 dollars I expect better. And the lipgloss was very sticky and the brush was a hard plastic point. NO BRUSH!!! REALLY??

The lipstick in Oasis is a gorgeous colour and was creamy and applied easily. I only got about 4 hours wear out of the polish but I am ok with that. The only thing that really disappointed me was the cheap packaging.

Now I was disappointed that the lipstick packaging was so cheap and came broken but I liked the product itself well enough. The lipgloss has NO redeeming qualities in my opinion. It was sticky, tacky and felt uncomfortable on. The brush..... well, its not a brush. Not at all. Its a hard plastic wand with a hard plastic point. No brush at all. Try rubbing a pointy hard piece of plastic on your lips (a hard plastic toothpick basically) and you will get the experience

Tory Burch + FEED Bag For Holt Renfrew

So I called Melanie today, whom I am sure you all know by now is my wonderful sales associate at Holt Renfrew and you will be amazed to note that this story does not end with my buying a new nail polish. OK, I did get Lippmanns Mermaid Dream, but totally not the point of the story!! I bought a new bag! BUT...... Not only was it only 50.00 and SUPER cute, but its for a good cause! 

Tory Burch has partnered with FEED to put her personal and colourful touch on the organization’s traditional burlap bags. Burch's bags will be available exclusively at holtrenfrew.com starting April 30 and at all Holt Renfrew locations beginning May 10. These bags are available in three colours. I have ordered the red one, but now I want the yellow one!! BAH!!!

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bag will go toward FEED’s initiative to feed children in areas of the world that are in need, and will help Holt Renfrew in their goal to raise $100,000 to provide 500,000 meals for children and contribute $50, 000 in microfinance and mentoring support.

NARS Trouville Polish For Summer 2012 Swatches

Have you ever picked up a colour in a store only to bring it home and realize it looks COMPLETELY different in natural lighting? Now before you all tell me how stupid I am because EVERY single blog out there has described this as a PINK, when I saw it in Sephora I totally thought it was a coral. It really really leaned more to the peachy than to the pink in their lighting. Then, I got home, took it out of the package and went "WTF?! Why did I buy a PINK??"

I decided to swatch it and HOPE it was a little more peachy and a little less pinky but nope. Really bubble gum pink. BAH!!! The formula however was nice and smooth, and opaque basically after the first coat.

NOT HAPPY!!!

Dior 2012 Summer Mix Collection - Acapulco, Calypso, Cosmo And Lagoon

So I am VERY happy to say that the Summer Collection of Dior is not full of must haves for me! My pocket book thanks them for THAT. I KNOW I need Lagoon. Thats an obvious for me! 

At this point, I THINK I can pass on Calypso though I reserve the right to change my mind! The pink I KNOW I don't want, and the yellow I am pretty sure I don't want. The NARS yellow was a one time shot... Or at least I think so!

While I am not sure, the sales associate at my Dior counter thinks they will hit Holt Renfrew and The Bay in July. 

Crocodile crackle at Dior’s fall show

Five models (Joan Smalls, Anna Selezneva, Jac Jagaciak, Josephine Skriver, and Michaela Kocianova) wore Dior’s gold-and-khaki crocodile manicure down therunway in Paris on March 2nd. All the info I can find on this says it will be available this Autumn in Europe and Canada. It says nothing about United States. Does that mean its POSSIBLE we might get something the Americans don't? Hmmm........
