Ciate Lash Chalk

Ciaté London brings the OMBRÉ trend to your lashes with the LashChalk collection! Apply a soft pastel shade to the tips of your lashes for a completely wearable, on-trend look in an instant.

Above is the shade Daydream and below is the shade giggle.

While the majority of Ciate's new collection is up online at Sephora, this product sadly is not as of yet. As of now it can only be purchased directly from Ciate HERE though it is not on the USA Ciate site, only the UK. That being said, it does say to contact them for help with international orders so you might be able to. Otherwise, I guess we are waiting for it to come to Sephora?

MASCARA MONDAY: Laura Geller Dramatic Volumizing Mascara

I used this mascara for the first time a few weeks ago. And I totally forgot to take pictures as I was applying it. But this is how it looked on me at the END of the day. Its ok. It did smudge under the eyes a bit and as you can see, did not wear quite as well as one would hope. I likely wont ever try this again.

This mascara is certainly not HORRIBLE. But its also not good or great.

MASCARA MONDAY: Maybelline's Limited Edition Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara In Blue Blaze

This was a mascara that was limited edition and came out, oh........ 16 months ago. This came out in January of 2014 here and I picked it up about 5 months ago on clearance. This is the shade Blue Blaze. Now I had never tried any of the Maybelline Colossal mascaras before and figured I would try it out. It was $3 I think.

Blue blaze is more a steal blue shade. ALmost a gunmetal shade with blue tinge. And I actually love the shade.

I find black in general is too harsh on me and this shade is great. It certainly doesn't look blue but its nice. And it builds so easily and effortlessly.

I actually really really like this mascara and am disappointed its no longer available. If any of you have a good dupe of this one, I am all ears. And if you can come up with a different mascara that has this or almost this shade, that would be even more amazing!!

MASCARA MONDAY - Julep Length Matters Mascara In Jet Black

I have to admit I wanted to hate this product. I REALLY wanted to hate it. I really really liked the first mascaras Julep came out with that they discontinued but they dried out SO FAST. I have never had another mascara dry out to nothing in a sealed box before I could even get to it before trying theirs. I loved the formula (when it was fresh and had first come out) and that they had it in brown, but the mascaras were useless after a few months with our backups being also useless. So I still hold a bit of residual anger.

And for that reason I never purchased the new formula. I figured I would EVENTUALLY get it as a gift with purchase or in a mystery box (which I did) and even then, I held on to it for a few months before trying it out.

And DAMN IT! I really like it! I even like the tiny almost non existent wand!

A big difference as you can see on the one eye, And this wand makes applying mascara to the bottom lashes (a battle I am constantly failing at) much easier than with many other.

Overall, the wear time on this is good, it didnt flake or smudge, and it dried quickly. It also was NOT a battle to remove which I appreciated. My bioderma took it off in a single swipe!

MASACARA MONDAY - Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lash Curl Mascara Review

Today I present to you the completely unremarkable Fairy Lashes Curl Mascara. It has classic boring wand that looks fairly generic:

I know many people are going to not be loving this mascara. And if you want something that gives you crazy volume or crazy length, this is not it. No fake lashes look with these. And that is precisely why I love it. Its a very natural look. I hate when it looks like I have fake lashes or like my lashes are screaming "look at me!!". This is just such a nice everyday mascara that does not leave my lashes feeling thick or cruchy, that wears well and that is not a bitch to take off.

Here it is on one eye:

And here it is on both !

MASCARA MONDAY - benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara Review

The new Roller Lash mascara is supposed to curl your lashes as it coats them. As someone with naturally fairly curly (or at least curly enough) lashes, its not an issue I need to deal with but I received a tube to try out and so I did.

I saw the brush and instantly decided I didn't like it. I like big fat wands. Thin rubber or plastic wands like this? NO THANKS! But, then I tried it.

Now I desperately need to get my eyebrows done so please ignore the ungroomed mess they have become. And here is me with my natural, invisible lashes pre mascara application.

And here it is on one eye. The length it gives is quite remarkable.

And here it is on both eyes.

Now I must say, the formula was much drier than I anticipated. The dryness of the formula actually helped make it easy to apply. There was little smudging, no flaking and it lasted all day. And best of all, it came off quite easily with my Bioderma. Overall, I really like this formula!

Mascara Monday - Kat Von D Immortal Lash

Let me just start by saying this mascara wand is WEIRD!!! Its floppy and bendy and the shape is weird also. It gets much fatter at the tip of the wand.

So I had no idea what to expect when I put it on. But it was actually really really easy to apply. It went on easy, I was able to use the tip (the fatter part) to apply the mascara and use the thinner part to apply to the edges and the bottom lashes. And while it feels totally floppy and bendy (sorry, no better way to describe it) when you take the wand out of the tube it didn't affect the application or feel so flexible when using it to apply the product.

Overall, it was not really clumpy, its not too wet and its not overly dry and I surprisingly really really like it! I think I like it MORE than the Urban Decay Perversion I tried last week (its not as wet and you dont have to be so careful waiting for it to dry). The other nice thing about this mascara is that it doesn't make my lashes feel hard or crunchy or heavy.

Mascara Monday - Urban Decay Perversion

So when I first saw the brush, I was beyond bummed. I knew instantly I would not like it. I tend to really really not like small brushes. I want a big fat bad gal lash type brush.

And then I tried it on! I actually REALLY REALLY like this. Is it holy grail level? No. But its a great mascara for me! I find it gives a great natural look. I dont feel like I have massive fake lashes on as I did with the Bourjoiis mascara, yet I clearly have mascara on. I also don't find it quite as black black as I was expecting based on the fact that Urban Decay calls it perversion.

The formula is on the wetter side which is a good and a bad thing. Good in that it doesn't go quite as clumpy when layering it on. Not as good in that you have to give in a minute or two to dry or it will smudge like it did a tad on my lower lashes.

Here it is on one eye so you can see the difference (and my very unruly eyebrows that need to be tended to desperately I have learned based on these pictures).

Overall I really like this mascara which I was not expecting to. I don't think I would ever go out and buy this mascara, but when I get samples (we all have 3,203 mascara samples don't we?) it will be one I keep and use and not one I give away or throw out!
