Laura Mercier Holiday Sets! Artists Palette & Luxe Stickgloss Set Swatched!

I happened to pick up both the Laura Mercier Artists Palette For Eyes and the Lipstick set after they were already sold out online. Because it was gone from online I was not planning on swatching these for you but since I got so many requests, here goes!

I love the leather case its in!

And here are the shades. In it is a good mix of matte and non matte shades in purples and neutrals. I am actually really digging this palette and am really glad I managed to get my hands on it!

As always, these are just one swatch with a finger, no base, no brush, no anything to help or intensify the colours!

Now this set was a fantastic deal! It was I think...... $60? It was cheaper to buy this than it was to buy three lipsticks, thats for sure. And in it come 4 full sized lipsticks. Three Stickglosses and a Sheer Lip Colour come in this set. The stick glosses are a cross between a lipgloss and lipstick. Think of a very sheer hydrating lip colour. The sheer lipstick simply that. A sheer lipstick. And in this set you get three of the four stickglosses so I think its quite a nice way to try most of them out. And since they each retail for $25, its a great deal for $100 worth of product.

All four of these are nudes and berries, and are all on the sheer side.

From left to right, Baby Lips (a rose toned nude), Courtisane (frosted finish nude with pink and gold undertones),  Peony (deep purple toned nude muted down with the frost finish) and  Brown Sugar (a cool toned nude with a slight mauve undertone).

All four of these are available individually at a price of $25 each!

Luxury Lush Pud Review And Demonstration

So when I went in to the LUSH store the other day I asked the sales girl what the newest and most exciting things were that were out for the holiday season. This was one of her recommendations. And since I love Lavender I had to pick this one up.
"This year we have completely transformed the traditional LUSH Pud. The first thing you'll notice is the deep purple color of the base, studded with polka dots of color that float to the surface making pastel islands in the water. Then you'll inhale the magnificent aroma of lavender oil, sweet benzoin and comforting tonka absolute. You may recognize the scent from our best-selling year-round bomb Twilight. Sink in for a fluffy, frothy end-of-day soak, relax, release your worries and emerge for a restful slumber."
Now, I must say that this did NOT smell like lavender to me. Or maybe it had notes of lavender, but it also was just an overall florally/herbally scent. Not sure I loved the smell, but didn't dislike it. I also tend to take a book into the bathtub and really enjoy a bath. So this was no different. An hour later, the scent was still very much apparent which was nice. Nothing less appealing than stepping out of funny coloured water that has no scent. And while at the time I was worried about it staining the bathtub, I am happy to announce that there was none of that with this one. It just stained my hand!

Now, because it exploded in such a funny weird, bizarre fashion, I thought I would share with you its explosion!

Ceramic Glaze Shimmer And Sparkle Collection

When I saw the press release for the new Ceramic Glaze Shimmer And Sparkle Collection I was super excited! I couldn't wait to see them in real life! So I am really excited to get to share with you three of the colours that were sent to me for review!

From left to right, Let it Glow, All Decked Out and Glitter Bells.

There really is not much to say other than "OOOHH!! Pretty colours!!". The formula on these is all great. Its consistent, easy to spread, and wears well. Its made by the same company as China Glaze and the formula shows it. I find it just as consistent as China Glaze polishes.

And here are all the colours! I think I will have to pick up Shimmy Down The Chimney as well! And not only because the name is fantastic!

Urban Decay Black Market 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil Set - Swatched!

So for those of you like me who LOVE Urban Decay 24/7 Liners you are going to love this set. This set is great for those of you who just can't quite justify the price tag on the Ocho Loco 2 set. These pensicls are 3/4 of the size of the regular ones so they are also good for travel!

These shades are also much more muted and neutral than the Ocho Loco set, Even the Purple and Blue ones are more of a Navy and a dark purple. So they are a little less scary if you, like me are allergic to colour (on your face).

Here is a comparison of the size difference between the two:

Both Desperation and Riot were a little disappointing in the colour payoff, but neither were bad.  Just not quite the normal level I come to expect from them!

LORAC Dazzling Dozen Limited Edition Eye Shadow Collection - Swatched.

When I saw this set advertised for sale on the Ulta website I had a little bit of a tantrum. TWELVE full sized eye shadows that retail for $19 each for $35?! And NOT available in Canada? LORAC immediately went on my shit list. I mean, come on! They took the brand out of Canadian Sephora stores and now its an online only deal-io. Whats next? Why does the brand hate us? And why do I love the eyeshadows so much?

Now I only want half of these. But its cheaper to buy all 12 than to buy two! AND... I asked my mom if "hypothetically" she could choose any 6 from this set which six would it be and she chose the same 6 I didnt want! FATE! So with the set split at $17.50 a piece for 6 shadows, all the jinx girls are happy. Bluejinx (me)
and Pinkjinx (mom).

Here are the six for me:

Now I should mention all these swatches are WITHOUT primer, WITHOUT a brush, just using a finger to swatch them. Are you as impressed as I am? These shades are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

And now I should grudgingly admit that the 6 that are my moms are maybe even NICER than the 6 that are mine. In pigmentation and payoff. Not that I would wear any of them!

Again, ONE SWIPE with NO PRIMER! The glitter fall out in Celebutante and Starlight is a little reminiscent of Urban Decay shadows of yesteryear and my mom wore Starlight over her eyeliner the other day and it flaked off in chunks. Something neither one of us has ever experienced before. I would recommend a sticky base if you can find one! But oh my goodness are they gorgeous!!!! Talk about night and day difference from the Tarte ones!
