Chanel Rouge Allure In 05 Desirable

Just a quick post today to share my current lipstick obsession. Rouge Allure Desirable. Its a pretty shimmery pink-violet color that is totally NOT my normal colour or shade. And its got shimmer. Its pretty much everything I hate in a lipstick all put together in to one fabulous tube of something I somehow LOVE.

Julep Kristen Swatches And Comparisons

I was recently asked to swatch Kristen. And I was stunned at how unique it was within my collection!

Its sooooo pretty! Compared to both Cult Nails Living Water and Chanel Nuit De Russie.

As you can see its very similar to Cult Nails Living Water but the shimmer and glitter is not as holographic. Otherwise it looks very much the same!

Chanel Store With NOTHING But Fragrance, Beauty & Sunglasses?

Is it true? A new Chanel store carrying nothing but sunglasses and beauty? Count me in! This is the first of its kind in North America and it is 800 square feet and it opened in The Forum Shops at Caesars a few weeks ago!

I can't wait to check it out. I will be there in a few weeks and am beyond excited to check it out! And I also wonder what kind of exclusives they might have limited to the store?!

Have you been? If so, I would love details! If not, I will be sure to update you all after I have been there!

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour in 01

This was a limited edition powder that Chanel came out with in May of this past year (so 10 months ago!!). I instantly knew I had to get this. I mean, I LOVE the original Les Beiges poweders, and this was coming out on May 5th. My birthday. If that isn't a sign from above, I am not sure what would be.

The packaging is just like that of the regular ones (of which I have 010 and 020 in). Slightly larger than the powder blushes from the brand, and with a beige cover.

01 is less bronzing and more of a pinky blush than 02 is. And just like the other two I have, its a very subtle and light colour. If I were to say anything negative about it, its the standard Chanel powder scent that all their makeup has.

Here are each of them swatched separately as well as swirled together though I wear them with all three shades together as as subtle blush.

As you can see on my super pale skin, they are very light. If the shades were a bit larger they would be ideal as a highlighter, blush and bronzer separately on my skin tone, but its near impossible to get a brush in just the shade you want.

Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush In 160 Innocence

I picked up this blush quite a while ago but this is the first time I have opened it!

I have to say, Innocence is not what I thought it would be, and while a bit more shimmery than I would prefer, still a lovely natural shade!

This picture was floating around my twitter feed the other day and I cant find the source. To the best of my ability, I THINK that the original poster of these two photos is @maritushik. And let me say, I NEED BOTH!!!!!!!!!!

Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Lip Colour In Legende

And yet another lipstick purchased in September. This one is a Rouge Coco lipstick and I must say the formula doesn't last quite as long as the Rouge Allure Velvet ones but is more moisturizing on the lips. I also must admit I am a bit of a packaging whore and find this packaging no where near as nice as the pop up mechanism on those ones.

Legende is a cross between the two other Chanel lippies I swatched earlier today. Its basically a light raspberry pink. More berry toned than the dusty rose, but more rosey than the berry shades.

And here it is beside the other two swatches. From left to right,  La Raffinee, L'Amoureuse and then Legende on the right. As you can see its kind of like if the first two had a baby.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lip Colours In La Raffinee and L'Amoureuse

Wow. Talk about being late to the party. I bought these in...... September? Yup, September. And am just opening and swatching and playing with them now.

The Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks are supposed to be a matte lipstick. To be honest, I think they are far more of satin finish than matte. They certainly have a bit of a sheen though they feel more like a matte lipstick on the lips.

La Raffinee is a dusty rosey mauve shade (the one on the left). Its really a great everyday shade that is office appropriate. The one on the right, L'Amoureuse is similar, but more of a muted berry than a dusty rose. Its just got that berry tint to it. Also very wearable, but a little more of a statement.
