Nails Inc Spring/Summer 2013 Collection - Swatches
So I picked up three of the polishes from the Spring/Summer collection from Nails Inc. collection. Actually, I picked up two. I did not get St James Park (a bright pink! NO THANKS!!) and as I found out when I got home, here in Canada, our displays did not have Royal Botanical Gardens (a mint) but instead had a polish from the regular line, Haymarket instead. Kind of bummed we miss out on the new spring colour, but I did pick up the mint they did have.
Let me start with Kensington Palace Gardens. This colour I swear keeps changing on me. It was (I swear I am not crazy) a bright coral colour when I picked it up in store. Then I got it home and it was a bright pastel pink that was gross looking. And somehow now its a pink leaning salmon colour I cant decide what I think of it.
Chelsea Physic Garden is a creamy pastel blue colour. Not green enough to be a tiffany blue, but still slightly green leaning.
And this one, Haymarket, the polish that really isnt part of the collection. This one is a mint green colour that leans blue. Almost like a pastel teal colour? Certainly more blue than the typical green, but still a minty green shade.
Now I didnt think I had anything similar in my stash to Haymarket, but Blueberry Bubblegum from Ceramic Glaze sure is close! Just about a shade darker and slightly (and I really do mean slightly) less green tinged and more blue.

Pierre Hardy Collection For NARS Summer 2013
What happens when Nars has joined forces with French shoe designer Pierre Hardy? Well, for starters, I get a little excited. And by a little excited? I mean OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I NEED!!!!!!!!!!
Starting May 1st, the collection will be out and have six sets of nail polish duos. And I am pretty sure I read somewhere (I wish I could recall where!) that the duos come in little mini shoe boxes!!
Available from May 1, the collection is based around six bold pairings of colored nail polish:
- Ethno Run - orange, navy
- Sharplines- peach, burgundy
- Vertebra - coral, dusty rose
- Easy Walking - rose gold, camel
- Sharks - yellow, lavender
- Venemous - gunmetal, black (exclusive to Nars boutiques and narscosmetics.com)
Also in the collection are two blushes that boast Hardy's signature cubic print in gold overspray (in Rotonde, a tiger lily colour and Boys Don't Cry in a pink grapefruit colour).
China Glaze HoloGlam Holographic Collection
So I just got the new HoloGlam Collection from China Glaze today. Apparently when you order the entire set from a Beauty Supply place you get the stand for it also. I can't say I am wowed by the collection at all. I will post my actual swatches in the next day or so but wanted to show you the set. They are nice, but they are really not very holographic at all. Very subtle. Which would be fine....... IF this wasn't advertised as a holographic collection and if the prices were not double the cost of normal polishes in the brand. But they are pretty. So enough complaining!

New Caviar Manicure Sets For Spring Summer 2013
Ciate Caviar Manicure in Lemon Fizz
Ciate Caviar Manicure in Tutti Frutti
Ciate Caviar Manicure in Cotton Candy
Now I will admit, I don't hate this trend, though I do think it has come and gone. I still do an accent nail from time to time. But that is about it. And after getting BOTH sets from the holiday collection I think I am super stocked up on colourful caviar beads to last a life time. That and I will be honest. The lack of comment from anyone from Ciate (I emailed, PM'd on facebook and left numerous comments on their wall) about the damaged brushes and bottles from those advent sets has left a bad taste in my mouth. They commented on posts above and below mine, never commenting on my defective products, and then to add insult to injury, THEY LIKED ONE OF MY POSTS that asked them to respond to the quality issues in the sets.
OK. Rant over. Kind of like the look of some of these sets but pretty sure I might even have the exact same colour combos in mini bottles. What about you? Love fish egg look? Hate it? Or are you like me? Its ok for an accent nail once in awhile but not worth jumping up and down for?

La Laque Couture Tie & Die Collection For YSL Summer 2013
I am soooooooooo excited to share with you the new Spring Summer Collection of polish from Yves Saint Laurent.
"Inspired by the Couture Tie & Dye, YSL nail lacquer plays colour in gradation effect just like a sophisticated total look. The coloured base is covered by a "pop coat"for a sugary glossy result. Top Coat can also be used alone for a “sheer” glittery result on the nails."Already on sale on the Yves Saint Laurent website and the Bloomingdales website for $25 a polish I am beyond excited to see actual swatches of this!
Directions
- Apply the coloured base on the entire nail.
- Once the base dries, shake the Tie Die Top Coat and paint over the base coat.
- The top coat alters and brings out aspects of the base coat giving it a special affect on the nail
The Top coat can also applied on its own for a glittery sheer effect.

Mash Up Collection For Orly Summer 2013
And a new summer collection from Orly is coming up. I am not quite as excited about this collection as I am the last one I just posted, but I think I may need the purple one. It looks totally gorgeous and I may be wrong but I think its a duochrome!
And when I got these promo shots I looked up and down all over for more info and found some actual LIVE pictures a blogger posted on her blog. I took this photo from the Chic Profile Blog and if you want to check out a bunch more photos go HERE to see them!

OPI Bond Girls Liquid Sand Collection!
So I am so beyond excited by this collection I had to share it with you. I have really really loved the liquid sand polishes (the look, the feel AND the wear). So to see a full collection of them coming out is super exciting. Now I had taken these three images off of two different blogs and I was going to credit both blogs, but it seems that both blogs took the images from the same spot. And only one credited the original source. SO for the original info, check out THIS POST. There are more pictures available there!!
So what do you think? I KNOW I need all but the pink one. I would say I dont need the red one (I am not a red person) but ITS NAMED JINX!!!!!!!!! Now for those of you who dont know where Polish Jinx or Blue Jinx came from, here is the story. I was setting up my IRC (yes, I said IRC. And I still use IRC. Im kind of a dork!) and needed a handle. I had just gotten home from a date that involved the newest at the time Bond movie. I had Halle Berry's character in my head and her explaining that she is a Jinx to everyone she meets and said "Im going to be Jinx! It fits!!". Sadly Jinx was taken and my date said "every thing you like is blue. Be bluejinx". And BlueJinx was born. Which became the Polish Jinx when I started this blog. So as you can see, I really NEED to have the POLISH called JINX!
