So Susan Lip Dome Plumping Lip Pencil In Black Currant

I have to start by saying So Susan and Jelly Pong Pong are the same company??!!! How did I not know this before? But I did not. Anyways, on to the review.

I have to say I wish it that it twisted down a bit more. I find it hard to get a precise application with so much product stuck up.

You do get a LOT of product in the tube though.

This product contains both Hyaluronic Acid and Tripeptide-1 that are said to plump the lips. I notice NO plumping effect whatsoever. But having said that it also has none of the tingling or anything else that normally comes with a plumping product.

It is also QUITE pigmented. That being said, the pigment kind of separates in a kinda funky way. I have looked at other reviews for this shade and they say the same thing. So its not just mine. Its not the longest wearing or even leaves that much of a stain behind when it wears off. At $10 each I cant say I would run out to buy any more of these.

Lip Monthly February 2015 Reveal

My February bag came! The value for this $10 bag is fantastic! More than $60 worth of full sized products!

The one non lipstick item this month is a Cargo eyeshadow! I have to say I LOVE when I see Canadian companies represented!

And while I looked at this thought that an uglier shade of shadow did not exist, it actually swatches as a lovely gold shade instead of the puke green it looks in the tin. A lovey surprise!

Now if I want to be picky, Jelly Pong Pong and So Susan are the same company and I would have preferred a little more variety. But with that said, two full sized products from a brand I have SO FAR been very happy with? No complaints there! I have the So Susan blush which I LOVE (you can see the review here) and the Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes mascara I really like and the review of that will be up today!

Now the supermodel lip and cheek stain is TINY. Really tiny. Can barely get a finger in to each of the shade options. But it was something I was actually looking at and contemplating ordering from the So Susan site so I am happy to have it to try!

And last but......... yeah, least. The Be A Bombshell lip gloss. A review of this will be coming up, but I can't say this product makes me want to run out and buy anything else from the brand!

Overall, how could anyone be bummed to get this for $10? Certainly not me. And since it was sent to me by the company and I did not pay for it, I am even more thrilled with it! This was the last bag I see myself getting (at least for quite a while) and I have to say the last 7 months have gotten better and better (in products and value, not in customer service or communication).

Now, I really do think this box has a great value. And I really think they are getting better and better. That being said, the communication and customer service I have gotten have been so bad I am not continuing on.

But for those of you who want a great box at a great value, you can sign up here. This is NOT my referral link, but one for a girl who reads my blog. It gets me no benefit whatsoever, but I am sure she would be thrilled if you used it!

Value wise, this box is well worth the $10 monthly fee! Ships to Canada as well as the USA (though there is a $5 shipping fee for Canadians)

So Susan Universal Blush Review & Swatches!

This blush from So Susan retails for $23.29 and can be purchased off of the So Susan website. They ship to both Canada and the USA and this came in my November Glossybox. To get a full sized makeup item is always great, but this blush looked especially promising.

So Susan describes this blush as being a micronized jet-milled blush which works with your skin's natural chemistry to create an universal healthy flush to flatter all skintones. They also say it contains Beruti Oil to supposedly repair the epidermis and improve skin's elasticity though I wont even start to mock or discuss the lunacy of a blush sitting on top of your skin repairing anything. But in reality, its a gorgeous medium rosy pink shade with very subtle gold shimmer that is much more noticeable in these swatches than it is in reality. You all know how much I detest shimmer on the face but this is just a beautiful subtle glow.

Just like the Bourgeos and Dior universal blushes, I feel safe in saying this does no such transforming thing and is simply a good neutral blush that will work on many skintones. Overall, I really love this blush and would be very interested to try some more products from the line.

If anything, the only flaw to me is the packaging. Its a fairly pricey blush, and the packaging to me is not in keeping with the quality or price tag of the blush itself. Its a cheap plastic that has no function or mirror. Without knowing, had I seen this blush I would have assumed a dollar store product. And for a $25 blush, that seems to not mesh. But again, the product is great so its not a deal breaker, just a disappointment.
