NARS Nars Steven Klein Collaboration One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette

So this is what I am totally obsessing over today. I am still desperately trying to find a replacement for my go to blush that I have hit pan on from NARS. Stupid limited edition items!! I am not completely sure that there is a shade in here that will take its place, but at $92 CND (on sephora.ca) it seems worth the gamble?

This palette contains:
- 2 x 0.12 oz Contour Blush in Paloma (I), Paloma (II)
- 0.29 oz Bronzing Powder in Laguna
- 4 x 0.12 oz Blush in Robotic, Blaspemy, Luster, Dolce Vita

Clinique is coming out with 6 all new cheek pops for 2015. Two Coral ones (Melon Pop and Fig Pop), two plum shades (Heather Pop and Pansy Pop) and two pink shades (Pink Pop and Rosy Pop).

And while not yet at department stores here in Canada (at least not everywhere) they should be soon.

Bobbi Brown Blush in 33 Pastel Pink

This blush was purchased for one reason and one reason only. It was intended to be a dupe for my beloved Nars Sex Fantasy Blush that is limited edition and that I am far closer to hitting pan on than I care to admit.

Let me just start with I FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!! It is not at all a dupe. Its nice, don't get me wrong. And if I had not gotten so excited when I found it thinking it would be dupe I would probably be professing my love for this blush right now. You know, what, I will. I really DO love this blush. Its just not the magic fix I expected it to be.

And here you can see it next o my NARS one. I like this picture of the NARS blush because you can not at all tell there is a BIG dip in it!

Anyways, overall, I really do like this blush. And I can see it being my go to blush on the sad day that I run out of my NARS one. But until then, I can not see myself reaching for this one too much. Its close enough to my go to one that I would likely choose the NARS when I want this subtle everyday look. And when I want a different look, this is not different enough for me to grab.

New Colourpop In Bloom Collection For Spring 2015

A collection created by Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg – ” I’m so excited to be bringing this mixture together so everyone can have the Red Carpet cheeks and lips I love to give my girls!”

A little insider tip from Jamie?
“Mix Double Dip with both Hysterical and Tongue Tied – this creates a very glowy, bright cheek. Also, the lip colors can go on super full or just dab them for a lighter stained look!”

The lippies:

The blushes:

Do you all need this set as much as I do? Oh my gosh do I want these!! Its $39 which is the exact same price as if you bought each item individually. Which is the norm for the brand. But at $5 and $8 per piece, what more of discount can one ask for? I personally only want one of the lippies, but I need all the blushes so I guess I am picking this up! Are you going to get it?

Dior Kingdom of Colours Cheek & Lip Glow For Spring 2015

This product may be part of the new Spring Kingdom of Colours collection but it is supposedly a permanent in the line. So the only rush in going out and buying it is that it looks so cool!

Bronzers Comparison Swatches!

When swatching the lighter of the two shades of Julep bronzing powder I thought it was too dark for me.

Now from left to right is the Julep Pore Minimizing Bronzer in Light Golden Bronze, Guerlain Terracotta Mineral Flawless Bronzing Powder in 01 Light, Clarins Summer Fever Blush Soaleil Sun Blush in 00 Copper Sun, Guerlain Terra Inca Sublime Radiant Powder and Marc Jacobs Omega Bronze in 102 Tantric.

Now each one is swatched in the order shown above and with the exception of the Julep, each one is swatched REALLY heavily. Like 5-6 swipes of each. As you can see the Marc Jacobs and the Clarins ones are almost as dark as the Julep, but whereas those two are heavily built up with multiple swatches, the Julep one is swatched with only one swipe (though very heavily). So its just far more pigmented than the others. Its also so much softer (even than the Guerlain or Clarins powders) and thus....... it sounds weird to say the pressed blush is more powdery than the powdered mineral bronzers but it is.

Overall, I think its not as dark as I thought it was, its just so much more pigmented that its just far far too easy to get too much (that being said please don't think I would even try to put it on my face so heavily, its merely swatched like this to show you on the skin). I think if you are as pale as me it will be very hard to get a natural and subtle look with this but at the same time I think you certainly could. Overall, the Guerlain Mineral is certainly my favourite followed closely (ok, not SOO closely) by the Marc Jacobs. The Clarins is also a go too for me in the summer but it has a bit more of a satin as appose to matte finish that prevents it from being as much of a must have.

Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush In 160 Innocence

I picked up this blush quite a while ago but this is the first time I have opened it!

I have to say, Innocence is not what I thought it would be, and while a bit more shimmery than I would prefer, still a lovely natural shade!

Dual-Intensity Blushes for NARS Spring 2015

Sweeps on dry for a bold flush or wet for a translucent wash of color. Dry pigments impart a natural glow that warms the complexion and fuses weightlessly. Dampen NARS’ exclusive Wet/Dry Blush Brush before application for a watercolor effect—dab over the apples of the cheeks and swirl in a circular motion to paint on a subtle tint. Designed in a sensorial, soft-touch square case with a modern magnetic closure, six luxuriously embossed duos heighten the art of transformation.
These come out on March 4th and I am drooling. NARS makes AMAZING blushes, and I cant wait to try these! I am sure I will need AT LEAST two of them!!
