Nails Inc Spring/Summer 2013 Collection - Swatches

So I picked up three of the polishes from the Spring/Summer collection from Nails Inc. collection. Actually, I picked up two. I did not get St James Park (a bright pink! NO THANKS!!) and as I found out when I got home, here in Canada, our displays did not have Royal Botanical Gardens (a mint) but instead had a polish from the regular line, Haymarket instead. Kind of bummed we miss out on the new spring colour, but I did pick up the mint they did have.

Let me start with Kensington Palace Gardens. This colour I swear keeps changing on me. It was (I swear I am not crazy) a bright coral colour when I picked it up in store. Then I got it home and it was a bright pastel pink that was gross looking. And somehow now its a pink leaning salmon colour I cant decide what I think of it.

Chelsea Physic Garden is a creamy pastel blue colour. Not green enough to be a tiffany blue, but still slightly green leaning.

And this one, Haymarket, the polish that really isnt part of the collection. This one is a mint green colour that leans blue. Almost like a pastel teal colour? Certainly more blue than the typical green, but still a minty green shade.

Now I didnt think I had anything similar in my stash to Haymarket, but Blueberry Bubblegum from Ceramic Glaze sure is close! Just about a shade darker and slightly (and I really do mean slightly) less green tinged and more blue.

Harrods Exclusive Makeup Collection For Dior Spring 2013

Today I have a kind of bittersweet collection for all of you. This is a Dior Spring collection already on sale but it is being sold exclusively at Harrods in the UK. While the  majority of it is pastel pink and totally NOT my colours, I have my fingers, toes and everything else I can think of crossed that Windsor EVENTUALLY makes its way to this side of the pond! I am hoping it turns out to be almost exactly like NY 57th Street and I can stress less about not having it. The lipstick is also pretty great though! All I can say is those Brits are pretty lucky!

Hayley Williams Collection for MAC Spring 2013

Now that MAC has shown us all what is a part of the Hayley Williams collection that is coming up, I see two things I really like. I am not so sure I would WEAR the lipstick, but I sure like it! And while I do love the polish, I dont think it is unique enough or special enough for me to forget how much I HATE MAC NAIL POLISHES!! I mean, you all know it happens. At least twice a year I find a MAC polish that I love so much I grab it only to remember that they are the most inconsistent and disappointing of all the polish brands. So apparently Clinique is coming out with 21 new nail polishes shortly. 12 will be permanent and 9 will be limited edition.

Candy Shock Collection For Catrice Spring 2013

Catrice is coming out with a new collection called Candy Shock. Now let me just start by saying I LOVE LOVE LOVE Catrice polishes! I really do. BUT........ I feel like this is too little too late. I feel like the caviar beads thing is just kind of over. And since we all know by now that if we go to the scrapbooking department of ANY craft store we can buy the micro beads for $2-$3 for a BIG bag! So if you as a cosmetic company are going to tempt me to purchase these "caviar beads" then it better be a really great colour combination that I would be forced to make myself using many different colours of beads. This, is not going to tempt me.

Catrice calls these Nail Sugar Pearls and they are limited edition (usually a 6-8 week span if past is a good indicator) and the shades are C01 Cotton Candy and C02 Sugar Shock. I will give you more info when I have it!

MAC Rebel Romance Collection For Spring 2013

This really isn't very exciting or even worth mentioning necessarily, but I just love the photo and wanted to share it with you. In this collection will be three nail polishes, all of which are or will be permanent colours.

Urban Decay Spring 2013 New Mono Eyeshadows & Moonflower Build Your Own Palette

Coming to the Urban Decay website and Sephora this February, there will be a new empty four pan palette as well as 7 new single shadows. Each will retail for $18 (more in Canada I am sure). And as with the current palettes available (there are currently two other four pans and one six pan), it will come with a single shadow. The one in this palette is called Moonflower and is described as a light copper/peach shimmer. It can also be removed and put into any other customizable palette in the line. 

There will also be 7 single shadows released at this time. They will include the following shades (never before released unless stated in parenthesis).

• Heartless – pale pink satin
• Uncut – smoky purple with a reddish shimmer
• Snare – smoky olive green shimmer
• Sidecar – beige sparkle (Previously found in Naked Palette and BoS)
• Omen – metallic bright purple with blue shift (Previously found in the 15th Anniversary)

Urban Decay Spring 2013 Oz The Great and Powerful Palettes

We can’t magically transform into the gorgeous Michelle Williams or Mila Kunis, but thanks to Urban Decay, we can try. On Jan. 25, the makeup brand is releasing two pretty palettes inspired by Williams and Kunis’s characters in the upcoming film Oz the Great and Powerful.

You can probably tell by the colour schemes which palette is Theodora's and which is Glinda's. Theodora’s as expected is darker and geared towards a smokey eye and bright saturated red lip while Glinda maintains more of a neutral tone. Each palette comes with six new eyeshadows  with two in each palette being duos. Each palette has a get the look card with step by step instructions and a 24/7 pencil.

They are set to launch at Sephora on January 25th for a retail price of $49 and each one contains SIX all new never before released colours. You end up getting EIGHT new colours from Urban Decay for under $50 (I am sure in Canada it will be something absurd like $60 or $80!!LOL!). And sadly, I think I might need one! EEK!
