Ceramic Glaze Polishes - Swatches And Review

I feel just terrible. These polishes were sent to me for review months ago and I fully thought I posted them! i had the post up and I guess I hit save instead of publish...... I am not sure how I did that! So here is my very belated review!

204 Leather Mini is a super dark grey (or super light black) with insane microshimmer. It applies nicely and smoothly and is very easy to work with. Its not a matte finish by any means, but its not overly shiny and can use a good a top coat over top.

Watermelon Cooler is a bright turquoise that drys to a.............. its not a matte finish. But its very matte. Almost looks like the suede finishes without the glitter. I know that a suede finish is basically a matte finish with a ton of microshimmer but its hard to explain. It doesn't have that chalky finish that mattes have. Its a gorgeous finish, but I am not doing the best job in describing it. I guess its closest to a satin that leans towards matte.

Santorini Blue is a bright royal blue with turquoise microshiimmer. It reminds me of China Glaze Frostbite though it seems to have less of the turquoise microshimmer in it. Since these polishes are made by China Glaze though, it might be the same colour and I may just be crazy. Will have to do a head to head comparison soon!

Honolulu Hibiscus is a light purple cream with a tendency to separate in the bottle. Its a true purple that is definitely on the dustier side. The application is nice, but it certainly needs three coats.

Last but not least is Blueberry Bubblegum. The dumbest name for it I can think of as it looks to me to be a mint green. Its almost identical to Nails Inc Haymarket. If its any type of blue it would be a pastel version of Tiffany blue, but its certainly a lot closer to green than it is blue.

Overall these polishes are quite nice. They are certainly on the thinner side, and most of them require two if not three coats. But they wear well, and aside from a bit of separating in the bottle which easily mixes back up, there is nothing noteworthy about these to beware of. The finishes seem to be slightly all over the place though, so I highly recommend swatching first to see!

  1. I think I prefer China Glaze itself and it's cheaper, interesting swatches though.
