Lancome X Alber Elbaz! The Alber Elbaz Collaboration

Lancôme is to collaborate with Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz on a special limited edition make-up collection called Lancôme x Alber Elbaz launching June 15! Now there have been very few images posted up until now. Lancome tried really hard to limit and control the release of photos, but they are all out now and I have compiled some of my favourite ones!

Now, I am not so sure the colours scream my name (not in to blues) but OH EM GEE!!!! Talk about gorgeous amazing graphic arts and design in the campaign! LOVE!!! What do you think??

Dior Lilac Colorvision & More Nymphea Comparisons with St Tropez, Chanel Coco Blue And Nouvelle Vague

The lovely Thel has taken some photos I get to share with you! Yay! The above is on order and I get to pick it up this weekend but how gorgeous is it?! It is STILL available in Sephora stores (some) but sold out online from Sephora's website. So I would call your local store if you want the gorgeous purple above! And below, she has some great comparisons of Nymphea!

While Nymphea is on her hands, here you can see it compared to St Tropez (as I showed you before, but also next to Nouvelle Vague which I DONT have. I wish I did, but I am not paying the insane ebay prices it sells for!

And here is Coco Blue on two of her fingers and Nymphea on the pinky and ring finger. As you can see, Coco blue is much bluer!

Free Flowerbomb Perfume From Viktor & Rolf

Ceramic Glaze by China Glaze

So a bit ago I posted quick swatches of 16 of the new Ceramic Glaze nail polishes. I said I had no info about the brand but thought they MIGHT be connected to China Glaze. Well, PR for the brand noticed my blog post and got in contact with me. Which means......... I HAVE INFO FOR ALL OF YOU!!!
Hi Polish Jinx,We came across your Ceramic Glaze post and wanted to reach out to you with more details about the brand. We are the Canadian distributor for Ceramic Glaze which is currently in the process of rolling out to all SDM stores. Ceramic Glaze is  the sister brand to China Glaze (inspired by the exact same technology), as they are both from the same manufacturer – AII. The range includes a total of 24 shades, however only 289 stores carry the full assortment.

A website will be up and running shortly (the brand is still quite new), however we’ve attached our Press Release for you to review.

In the meantime, feel free to follow us on Twitter (@CeramicGlaze), Facebook (Ceramic Glaze) & Instagram (CeramicGlaze) for more information !
Let us know if you have any questions, we’d be more than happy to chat.
Thank You!

Nails Inc Feathers Swatches

So I am trying oh so hard to get caught up on my swatching and posting. I realized while I had swatched these a month ago I never posted them. I guess I really wont say much as I have already been pretty thorough in my blogging about these and sharing others swatches with you. The swatches below and above are all of two coats of the polish and no base coat. I really do like these and have worn the yellow/teal and the blue/white already. They wear quite well but you do end up with a textured feeling finish. I can not imagine HOW MANY coats of top coat you would need in order to fully smooth out the polish.

Urban Decay Wallpaper Shadow Box

This is the first palette Urban Decay ever came out with. I picked this up a bit ago I picked this up on Boxing Day. I can not believe its been 4 months since I picked this up. I never realized just how backed up I am on my swatching! EEK! This was on sale for $12. I wanted one and my mom wanted one. Boxing day was all planned out. Three places to go. Sephora, Bath & Body Works, and Lush. My dad and I went together with a plan. We dropped my mom off at work and I booked it to lush to pick up mine and my moms shopping lists (my dad HATES the smell of LUSH) and he went to Sephora to pick up two palettes. Well, he FAILED. They had only one left. So he bought it for my mom and I was out of luck. BAH!!!!! Thankfully when a girlfriend of mine went to the OTHER location in the city (about 4 hours later) they had a lot left and she was able to pick it up for me! So yay!

Now Urban Decay tends to make a lot of shades that have a lot of glitter and fall out in them. A LOT of these shadows could be described that way. The pigment on them was MOSTLY good though. Grind swatched real well on the finger, but did not translate to swatching. Uzi was a mess of fall out and there was basically no colour. When swatched all it does is leave glitter (and a trail of it from all the fall out). Aside from those two shades, the payout was quite good.

Now Urban Decay shadows are $18 for .05oz. This palette contains 9 .03oz shadows. So that makes the palette a value of $97.20 worth of shadows. And for $12.00 how could you pass up that deal?!
