The Quo Spring 2012 Collection includes cool pastels, pinks and neutrals housed in a stone inspired package.

QUO EYESHADOW TRIO ($15)
In earth rituals, aurora borealis, aquarelle and soft alternative

QUO FACE PALETTE ($20)
In new edge and force of nature

QUO LIP GLOSS ($12)
In tulle, desert, flashy and iris

QUO LIPSTICK ($15)
In harmony and oasis

QUO AFTER THE MONSOON BRUSH COLLECTION ($60)

QUO BY ORLY ($10)
Limited edition shades in orange pop, lavish lavender, the blue box, tease, steel heart

Now I got two things from this collection. The lipstick in Oasis and the lipgloss in Desert. I wish I could say how happy I was with these. But sadly I was left disappointed with both. While these were not in the price range that my makeup usually comes with, I expect more for my money. The lipstick packaging was broken when I took it out of the package. For 15 dollars I expect better. And the lipgloss was very sticky and the brush was a hard plastic point. NO BRUSH!!! REALLY??

The lipstick in Oasis is a gorgeous colour and was creamy and applied easily. I only got about 4 hours wear out of the polish but I am ok with that. The only thing that really disappointed me was the cheap packaging.

Now I was disappointed that the lipstick packaging was so cheap and came broken but I liked the product itself well enough. The lipgloss has NO redeeming qualities in my opinion. It was sticky, tacky and felt uncomfortable on. The brush..... well, its not a brush. Not at all. Its a hard plastic wand with a hard plastic point. No brush at all. Try rubbing a pointy hard piece of plastic on your lips (a hard plastic toothpick basically) and you will get the experience

.
And here are the swatches. For reference sake I wear Dior Forever Foundation in 010 and am slightly lighter than MAC NW15.

  1. I love that lipstick shade but I agree with you, I HATE when packaging is cheap (unless you'e paid a stupidly low price in which case you kind of expect it...) I don't understand why anyone would think a plastic wand would be a good apllicator!! That's so awkward!
